Expo Hotel Barcelona

4star hotel at a good price and service. Large room , comfortable bed, en suite, tv with english channels. Mini bar fridge, complimentary bath robe and slippers. Handy for Barcelona Sants railway station, two Metro stations nearby. Price in Feb 2013 was 64 Euro single. Would stay here again.

Directions: At front of Sants station,look right and it is the 9 storey building with EXPO on top.

Rooms spacious with plenty of information with regards to Barcelona attractions.
Breakfast was continental style with plenty for all tastes. Staff very helpful & friendly.
Main railway station, Sans, only 300 mtrs away so handy for both city & airport.
Never had to wait more than a couple of minutes for metro & it took approx. 15 mins to get to middle of the ramblas.
Location of hotel good if stopping for 2 days any more & I would look to stay a little nearer city centre.

Directions: Business district but, quiet at night.

Was in a great location, not far from the underground station. A really nice hotel compared to some others we had seen on our travels. Clean and tidy with a balcony!

This is our view at night. In front of us there was the hotel Torre Catalunya, another hotel of the same chain of Expo. You can find some others informations on this hotel in my next tip :-)

The room was very huge with a small room dedicated only to the clothes, a big balcony, an elegant bathroom (that you can see in the funny picture), pay-tv and satellite, a mini bar full of everything and a safe box.

We stayied at the Expo Hotel from the 2nd to the 6th January and we had a great time! The hotel is only 50 meters far from Barcelona-Sants station (train and metro station). Despite of this, that area is not too congested. These are some of Expo's facilities:

The breakfast is not included so you must pay 9 euros but this breakfast is "continental style" so is a great variety of thing to eat.

Unique Quality: You can have your lunch at the hotel, it costs 15 euros or you could need to park your car, it costs 9,90 euro per day. Our room was at the 7th floor and we had a big balcony with a wonderful view on the big square in front of the station.

I stayed a week. The staff is friendly with a few exceptions. The breakfast is enough good. The cleaning may be better.
Pool too small, great view from the top.
Cable TV: the worst european channels you can imagine....

Hotel is a good 3 star hotel....good location next to the train station & metro.....ask for a room on the 9th floor facing the city.

Unique Quality: Hotel has a pool......Only negative was that I had paid for a room that said it came with full english breakfast, but NO BREAKFAST!!! Otherwise good choice.
