I just returned from a quick weekened to Barcelona and felt this hotel was wonderful! The beds were comfortable, there was a walk-in closet, a great view of the national palace, room keys that were programmable, a hairdryer, the list goes on. The service was impeccable. Everyone was patient with us and helpful and did not hestitate to pull out a map to show up the proper way to go and the quickest. I would definitely stay there again. I felt comfortable, safe, and welcome!

I am hoping to travel to Barcelona in a few weeks time and was looking to stay in Expo Hotel Barcelona. Does anyone know if this hotel is nice and how far it is from the Ryanair bus drop-off point. How much would a taxi be? Is it quite easy to get taxi's from the ryanair bus drop-off point?

I am not sure what you are talking about with the Ryan Air bus drop off point, but if you are talking about just the bus that takes you from the airport into the city.. then that bus takes you right to the city center... Do not know where that hotel is in location to the city center though.. sorry.

Can we assume you are flying to Girona, rather than Barcelona?
It is quite a distance from the Ryanair bus teminus.
I would guess a taxi at about 10 euros, or maybe a little less.
I don't know the hotel, but it is too far from the centre for my liking, although transport is good. The area is pretty unappealing, but not dangerous.

thanks for your input. Yes I am flying to Girona and then getting the Ryanair bus to the city centre. Why is the area of the Expo hotel unappealing? I read some reviews on another website and it said it was a very pleasant business area.

Hi Raju,
I think you have answered your own question!
What on earth is a "pleasant business area"?
If you haven't booked, then you might want to reconsider.
If you have, well it'll be OK.
