The hotel (even if it looks more like a hostel than a hotel) didn't provide any towels and the bed linen was dirty and with hair on it!
My room was extremely tiny (much smaller than the one I paid for), dark, noisy (only two steps from the entrance door) and with a bad smell, since the only window of the room opened onto an air shaft.
I tried to ask for another room but couldn't find anybody, because this hotel has no reception, so every time you need something you have to call them by phone. Unfortunately nobody of the staff seems to speak or understand English, so when I called Mrs. Laura, she couldn't understand a single word of what I said at the phone and was absolutely unfriendly.
There were only two bathrooms per floor, with lots of guests sharing these two bathrooms, which proved too few when the hotel is at capacity.
Last but not least, the shared shower had no hot water!
It was like a nightmare!
Unique Quality: Nothing was good except the location, which is quite central and not far from the metro station.
Directions: It's in the "Eixample" quarter, next to Verdaguer metro station.
This was a weekend trip to visit some old buddies in the city. The accomodation is simple yet has everything as the cleaning standard is great, staff is friendly, free internet and WI-FI. Good location and connections with Aiport, Bus and Train station. I would repeat if I get a chance to go back to Barcelona.
Unique Quality: Some rooms have better view than other. I would request an exterior room if possible.
Directions: Verdaguer - Metro stop (2 stops from main train station)
