OYSTER BAR IN BARCELONA

Hello! A few years ago we enjoyed food at the Les Ostres Bar /Restaurant(Valencia 267,near Hotel Claris) .Friendly bartender shucked fresh oysters and poured generous drinks.It has since closed.Does anyone have a suggestion for a similar place? Thanks.

Thank you so much! Also Orio,c/ferran ,38( former Vidsvin).The good thing about Les Ostres was that the bar was not too crowded,neither was it hip, nor trendy. Just right.

Hi, restaurant Rebujito de Morán has oysters, but it is not an oyester bar as such. It is located in Calle Rita Bonnat 3, Barcelona. Restaurant has a southern spanish decoration, and it is said that they have the biggest oyesters in Barcelona.

In the main tourist areas of Barcelona you will no doubt come across street entertainers.
These can range from solo violinists, the obligatory Peruvian pan pipe playing band and the now very common everywhere human statues. These people are all trying to earn whatever they can from giving you some entertainment, so I for one don't mind them and generally take the time to stop and watch for a while. Be aware though that you should keep a careful eye on your valuables while standing around in the crowds that gather.

North from Liceu is the Placa del Catalunya, a square which has become anyone's gathering spot. And where crowds of audience surround street entertainers. Hotels, shopping complex (including M&S and El Corte Ingles), cafeteria and restaurants erect side by side, together with Barcelona City Hall they form the square's perimeter. Just north is the Eixample which contains much of the well known Gaudi architecture.

RALLY BARCELONA-SITGES

Do you want to come back in the 1900's early years? It's possible during a weekend every year, usually in the month of march. During this weekend about 80 cars made in the early years of 1900 are in Barcelona. On Saturday the cars are exhibit in some spots of the city so people can admire them and on Sunday they all gather at Sant Jaume square where they all leave to Sitges, the competition stars. People who rides them are wearing that time outfits so its very nice to see.

When you are walking around in Barcelona and raise you eyes a little bit you notice a lot of beautiful stuff :) These fantastic street numbering signs is to be found all over Barcelona (even though I photografed these on Carrer Comtal). Different pictures on every sign, lovely way of writing the numbers!
