Great location just off Las Ramblas (have to go about 100m down a wee back street though)
Place is very clean and the people are very friendly.
Rooms have private bathrooms

Free basic buffet breakfast as well

Reception able to speak english and willing to help with plans or book taxis for you

$35 a night / October 2000

Unique Quality: This is a very modest, clean, simple hotel. Great location. For $35 dollars a night do not expect Four Seasons luxury. The walls are paper thin. The hotel draws a younger (loud) crowd. Is also popular with gay clientel. The staff was very helpful in making dinner resrvations and calling cabs. I would stay here again in a pinch or if I needed to count my pennies.

Well now the name is Hotel California, I was working as a volunteer in Italy when I went to Barcelona, and the name of the hotel was then Hotel LLoret but now they have changed it "wow" helpful :-)Just take a look at the page.....

Unique Quality: There are no outstanding charavteristics of this lodging except great location and compare to that nice prices.

Directions: Next to Plaza Catalunya, and the next house to Burger King
