Most Convenient Location

Highly recommended because of location and service.
Great skylight and floor in the courtyard with black and white tiles on the walkways overlooking the glass floor below.
No TV in the rooms, at least I never did nor did I need one.
Front counter was always very helpfull and friendly. I almost felt a local.
My favorite is getting from the airport , by bus, to Plaza Catalunya and the walk down Las Ramblas to St. Pau.

Unique Quality: Centrally located and a historic site that used to be nun's quarters off the rear of a church that still stands. Has Modernist, Spanish Art Deco or Art Nouveau details throughout with older ceramic tile flooring of an earlier time.
I believe you get some of the original nun desks and other furniture in rooms.
Nothing fancy but with character and very affordable.

Beautiful!

It is a old convent and now it's a hotel! It is a littl bit minimalist but it was a convent before.

Unique Quality: The most beautiful thing is the patio painted in cream adn green and the rooms where are close to eh patio!

"Has to be one of the best cities in the world"

Where else can you take a bus from the airport, get off at Plaza Catalunya and walk down Las Ramblas to my stay of choice: Hotel Peninsular. I have stayed there twice and never dissapoints. There are local eateries, sit down and sip local liqueurs by the medieval church alley that in earlier times was connected to this Hotel when it served as the nuns quarters. Oh did I mention Las Ramblas? 2 short blocks away and if Opera delights you.....

I first visited interested in the Art Nouveau/Modernista Style. I have been interested in Antonio Gaudi's creations since I first saw the ceramics and shapes in his architecture, but then seeing the city as original as Barcelona is. So much history.

I stayed at the hotel Peninsular. It is centrally located in Girona, a 15 min walk from the bus station where you can get the connection to Girona airport. But I don't know if that's close enough for you.
You can have a look at the following website http://www.novarahotels.com/english/index.html or on my Girona pages here on VT.

Have a great trip!
