More about Hotel Praktik Rambla
Wonderful hotel in the perfect location.

We enjoyed our stay at the Praktik Rambla. The view from our balcony was fabulous. We dined at nearby restaurants, which were good. The hotel is very clean and our room was small, but nice, with a big comfortable bed. Head in any direction and there is so much to see! Reuben was especially nice and helpful. Great value .
An excellent hotel on the best location in Barcelona

Modern large rooms with luxurious bathrooms in an historical building, just a five minutes walk from all the highlights in the center of Barcelona. Value for money.
Absolutely the best hotel and perfect in Barcelona

It has a superb central location in the heart of Barcelona. We were in a room with balcony - recommendable in deed - those rooms are bigger AND every morning with morningsun on the balcony looking out on Rambla La Catalanya. Beautiful. Next to the hotel one of the best tapas bars in Barcelona Piscolabis!! At the Hotel Pratik the Conciege Gloria was very helpful and she made us feel welcome in Barcelona. She gave the small designhotel the warmth and kindness that made the stay perfect! I highly recommend hotel praktik - ask for Gloria ;-)
Very nice place, optimal location; breakfast at near bar

Very nice place, optimal location, very nice room (but i get a super (with "vista") one), i strongly reccomend; the only minus is for breakfast: you get a voucher for breakfast at near bar.
Excellent location, friendly, helpful staff.

The room was a liitle bit on the small side, but fine for a 5-day break. Excellent location and not noisy at all. Breakfast was provided at the restaurant next door and good places to eat nearby.
Great location, great value...a big surprise. Highly recommended.

We booked this a with a little hesitation as there were not so many reviews being a relatively new hotel. However the price and the location seemed too good to refuse and pictures did well to sell it, so we took a chance.
So glad we did, as it is located perfectly on the Rambla, though away from all the tourists but so close to many Metro and train stations and easy to access the whole city from here.
We were most surprised on reaching the room after a friendly and helpful greeting as it was suitably large, perfectly clean, and luckily was one of the balcony rooms looking onto the courtyard. Great shower, beds plus air con, TV, hairdryer and all that jazz. The only downside was that the place has no bar or no coffee/tea facilities in the bedroom but as it was 28 degrees (in October!!), we were staight out the door every morning!
Highly recommended.
Super hotel, location - stay here!!

I loved this hotel. I travelled on a weekend break with some friends and we had a wonderful time. The decor is unusual and the rooms were really comfortable. The location was second to none and overall excellent value for money. There are some great bars and restaurants nearby and it is also ideally located for a shopping trip. I would love to stay here again!
Wow!

This hotel is everything all the positive reviews say. Our group included adults, young children, and a senior citizen. We all really loved the rooms, the personnel, and the location. This would definitely be a place we will recommend to anyone wanting to stay in the heart of everything in Barcelona.
Great Location and very nice bedroom

Old building well redone. Space and a very nice decoration. Friendly staff and a fantastic location. Breakfast is the only thing that is not worth buying - it's in the resturant next door.
excellent

This really is a superb hotel. It caters for single female travellers. I had a splendid room, not a box and the bed linen was real linen. The breakfasts are brilliant. The staff are also exceedingly helpful. It's in a fabulous location. Would definitely go back and stay there again

hey all this may seem a silly question but is the beach easily accessible in Barcelona and also can any one tell me if there is good night life or perhaps reccommend somewhere thx :)
Re: ?????

Beach is easy - Google Map Barcelona and look for th ebeach area between the port and the marina (Port Olimpic) - or the other side of the marina (nicer).
Nightlife - ask a youngster!
BUT - there are some clubs and bars in that Port Olimpic area that look "happening" sort of places - and a casino.

The beaches of Barceloan are accesible by foot, or by metro/buses, deepening on where you are :)
But don't expect much of them. These beaches are more than OK taking into account they are next to a main seaport and a city of a few million inhabitants.
As well, you cat take the train and be in much better beaches in less than 1 hour, both North and South
Yes there is good nightlife. But "good" depends on your tastes, what you have in mind? Small intimate clubs or mega-discos? Kind of music? There are clubs and bars scattered all around town, just avoid the bottom end of Las Ramblas. Most places don't start warming until well past midnight.

um just generally nightlife as i may enjoy myself i will be alone so you know :) Las Ramblas is this going to be dangerous for me ? would you reccommend Barcelona as i dont book till friday and i had Barcelona in mind ????? thx

YES!! I do full recommend Barcelona
but not Las Ramblas. They have become the mother of all tourist traps during the day, and the bottom end converts to a quite seedy area at night. Very popular with stag do's and plenty of prostitutes and drug dealers in addition of a zillion drunk tourists.... But, who wants to go there anyway, when there is plenty of much nicer areas?
El Born is nice and plenty of small clubs. Gracia is very popular with students and bohemian people. The area of Raval near Macba is very popular with young local people. There are quite a few clubs aroudn Eixample. Port Olimpic is a lively area as well... You may go to La Ovella Negra (the Black Sheep) bar, near Pl. Catlunya, very popular among young travelers and Erasmus students, you will not be alone for long and they will point you to other places. I'm not much into discos, you can get flyers at the fashion shops in El Born / Raval. Check www.lecool.com on week before your trip to see what is in town
