Hi All!
Did anybody be in Barcelona during last Red Bull Air Race? I'm going to visit barcelona next October.

can't really help as I never heard of this, but I'm interested on other answers you may get
My guess is this will be at the seafront (actually the only place it could be, they will be crazy of they allowed the planes racing anywhere else, the area is very densely populated). The picture on the website was taken fro sure from another plane, hot air ballon, whatever... is impossible to get this perspective from land)
If so, anywhere along the seaside promenade may be ok for taking pictures, or maybe from Monjuic mountain to get general views of the city, sea and planes
But I'm just guessing...

I don't know either, but thinking La Merce air show I'd bet Forum area , over the sea of course.
From what I read last time (2006) was controversial, becouse the planes were starting and landing on a provisional runway near the shore (and the city)
with over 1 million viewers.

Whereever you go in Barcelona, you will see some sculptures or buildings by this famous master builder. His willful style characterizes the city and is well known beyond the catalanian capital. Don't miss places like Casa Mirá, La Sagrada Familia, Park Güell or the Battló House.
This is one of the most famous dishes in all of Spain, you can not be in Spain without trying this!
The most normal ingredient in the paella is seafood, chicken and rice, but there are a numerous ways of making it. Usually every chef (or family) have their own variations. So if you don't like it in one place, give it a try somewhere else and you might love it.
The paella is cooked in a special pan that is very wide and the sides go up a little bit. The more surface the better. Many of the toppings are added as a last step at the top of the paella.
Barcelona usually is a warm city. If you visit it in the summer (May to September), you should bring very fresh clothes (specially in july/august, where the temperature can reach easily 40 celsius degrees).
The winter is not very cold, but from october to march you should take some good coat, VERY specially if you want to visit some place at the north, near the Pirenees (it's very cold up there). Also, you should take an umbrella (it does not rain very often, but when it rains it rains a lot!).
The Parc d'Attracions funfair has a wonderful retro air and is not exhaustingly large or terrifying. In fact, a guy who is used to Amusement parks like Six Flags Great Adventure or Hershey Park, it can be a bit boring. Some of the attractions though date back to 1901 when the funicular first reached the top, and some from rennovations that took place in 1986. This is certainly a place enjoyed by mostly children, or a couple so in love with each other (honeymooners!) that anything silly would be romantic. You bet Liz and I loved it! :)
The city of Barcelona is a good place to do some shopping
"Barcelona Shopping Line" is like a walktour for the nicest and more representative streets and shops in Barcelona. Along this 5km axis you can buy all that you need in Barcelona and you can enjoy at the same time some interesting and beautiful places of the city. In all these shops you'll find Barcelona Shopping Line's logo which is like a kind of symbol of quality.
