Transportation from BCN Airport to Hotel Husa Tres Torres

by CaGal

We will be reaching Barcelona at around 8:30 pm on the 19th (Sat). Our hotel is Husa Tres Torres, address is Calatrava, 32 08017 Barcelona near the shopping and recreation district of Diagonal-Pedralbes and is about 16 kms from the airport. What is the best way to get to the hotel (cab, metro, shuttle). We are travelling with 2 kids, 1 suitcase and a couple of pullmans. If cab is the best option, approximately how much would it cost to get to the hotel from the airport? Appreciate your input, thanks.

Easiest way again ( like Madrid ) is to go by cab. You can get a train to sants station then metro to diagonal or the aerobus into the city - but it does not stop that close to where you need to be. Taking everything into consideration the taxi will save you a lot of time for a bit more cash, Darren.

Hi, i agree with the above post.I was in barcelona in march and stayed close to where you are going. It was just me and a friend.Dead easy to do.But with two kids and luggage i would go for the taxi option. This will cost you about 30 euros, well worth it imo.
Have a great time, Barcelona is a wonderful place, cant wait to go back.
Warm regards,Laney

Camp-nau staduim

This amazing staduim is 'must see' for football fans. the entrence is cost money for the f.c. barcelona museum and for visiting inside the staduim. i have to admit the museum is quite poor but the view from one of the 100,000 seats is like a dream for the football fans...(see picture)

Walk Around and Look at the Architecture

by taryn_treloar

I was really impressed with all of the Gaudi buildings in Barcelona. It was a beautiful city with amazing building. Anyone interested in architecture would love to spend time in Barcelona.

The colorful Casa Batlló (Batlló House) is an apartment building located at No. 43 Passeig de Gràcia in Barcelona.

Olympic Stadium

by mindcrime

The Olympic Stadium was built for the Olympic Games of 1936 that never took place because of the civil war. They kept the neoclassical façade and built it again for the 1992 Olympic Games and it’s the home of Espanyol, a much smaller team than Barca that happens to win Barca from time to time! It’s much more easier to find tickets for a football match here of course. There’s no entrance fee to see the stadium. The capacity of the stadium is 77.000 seats. By the way many rock festivals take place here in summer. I will visit one some day…

I saw many people around the stadium (inside Montjuic in general) running up and down. We as normal tourists felt enough tired already just walking around for so many hours every day :)

Travel by train to the Pyrenee...

by Lambrecht

Travel by train to the Pyrenee Mountains. I made a daytrip to Puigcerda. It only costed 2030 Pesetas (12 Euro) for a return ticket. Puicerda is in a large valley in the mountains. You can make a flat hike over the border with France. When you want to make a steep hike you should get off the train a few stations earlier.

Shop the markets

by nyonnetti about Market on Portal de L'Angel

Portal de L'Angel (near Ramblas) is a pedestrian-only street which has an outdoor market and other shops. We found some unique items in the market- jewelry, scarves, children's gifts, etc. This was a fun street to stroll down in the evening time as well.
