This amazing staduim is 'must see' for football fans. the entrence is cost money for the f.c. barcelona museum and for visiting inside the staduim. i have to admit the museum is quite poor but the view from one of the 100,000 seats is like a dream for the football fans...(see picture)
Walk Around and Look at the Architecture
by taryn_treloar
I was really impressed with all of the Gaudi buildings in Barcelona. It was a beautiful city with amazing building. Anyone interested in architecture would love to spend time in Barcelona.
The colorful Casa Batlló (Batlló House) is an apartment building located at No. 43 Passeig de Gràcia in Barcelona.
Olympic Stadium
by mindcrime
The Olympic Stadium was built for the Olympic Games of 1936 that never took place because of the civil war. They kept the neoclassical façade and built it again for the 1992 Olympic Games and it’s the home of Espanyol, a much smaller team than Barca that happens to win Barca from time to time! It’s much more easier to find tickets for a football match here of course. There’s no entrance fee to see the stadium. The capacity of the stadium is 77.000 seats. By the way many rock festivals take place here in summer. I will visit one some day…
I saw many people around the stadium (inside Montjuic in general) running up and down. We as normal tourists felt enough tired already just walking around for so many hours every day :)
Travel by train to the Pyrenee...
by Lambrecht
Travel by train to the Pyrenee Mountains. I made a daytrip to Puigcerda. It only costed 2030 Pesetas (12 Euro) for a return ticket. Puicerda is in a large valley in the mountains. You can make a flat hike over the border with France. When you want to make a steep hike you should get off the train a few stations earlier.
Shop the markets
by nyonnetti about Market on Portal de L'Angel
Portal de L'Angel (near Ramblas) is a pedestrian-only street which has an outdoor market and other shops. We found some unique items in the market- jewelry, scarves, children's gifts, etc. This was a fun street to stroll down in the evening time as well.
