I use Google Maps to work out these things. The airport bus arrives into ESTACIO DEL NORD bus terminal.
Inputting the following into the search box will give you the location:

Cafeteria Estacion Del Nord,Barcelona,Spain

It looks about 20 minutes walk to Plaza Catalunya. But for exact walking directions you can use Driving Directions and change for Walking and input your final address location.

as far I understand, you are arriving to Girona (GRO) airport and you will take the bus from the airport to Barcelona ("Barcelona Bus" from the Sagales company), and you are staying in a hotel near Plaça Catalunya. Please let clarify if is not this way

The buses from GRO to Barceona go straight to Estacio del Nord (they do not make any other stop). Then, you can take the metro (line 1, red) at Arc de Trionf, just across the street from Estacio del Nord bus station. This is a very short ride (just 2 stops, 5 min) to Plaça de Catalunya, but there are some stairs involved (probably not a problem with Ryanair's luggage restrictions). If you have heavy luggage, better take a taxi.

----The Nobility Of Time----
Dali's soft watch is here draped against und supported by the remains of a tree whose roots writhe around a stone.A top it is a crown. To us,a crown of a watch is merely a mechamicall device that allows us to set the hand and wind the timepiece. But time on a Dalinian watch is changeless and can not be set,and the watch itself has no interior power nor motion.
There for Dali has set a royal crown a top the match to indentify its mastery over man rather than its utility to him.His majesty is attended on one side by a pensive angel and on the other by a woman handling a long piece of cloth.

Most people in Spain are enjoying bull-fighting. I can't understand why. I think it's a brutal 'sport' and i wouldn't suggest anyone to attend one. But, it's a matter of personal opinion. Well, here is my opinion. OK, i know it's dangerous. I know that a lot of matadors have been injured or died by bulls. But the fight is still in the favor of the matadors. Before each fight the bull is already weakened by being denied food for some days. While entering the arena the bull is initially blinded by the bright light (since he was in a dark corridor just moments before) and then confused by the crowds yells. The bull now is furious and attacks anything moving near him. Then he is weakened even more by the spear that a horsed man puts in his back. They stab arrows on his weakest spot of his nervous system that stay attached on his back until the end. And then the 'brave' matador comes and takes the bull out of his misery.
You might wonder how i know all that. A spanish friend of mine used to work in the arena stables.
Fortunately, in Cataluna they don't have bull-fightings so often.

Beaches

by jessieso

Beaches in Barcelona city are dirty and crowded. I very rarely go there unless its for a beach party. If you want a nice beach to visit there are plenty within an hours train journey going either up or down the coast. You can get trains up the coast from Plaza Catalunya Renfe trains heading towards Mataro or Blanes. They run up the coast so look out the window and choose a beach you like the look of (St Pol is the nicest, but an hour away).
You can also go from Passeo de Gracia towards Vilanova to any of the beaches south of Barcelona. These include Castelldefels and Sitges. These beaches unlike the north of Barcelona are made naturally so don't get deep quickly, unlike the north ones. (Personally I prefer the north ones, but the south ones are good for surfing and families)

Barcelona Style

by Misha_abq about Desigual - But everything else too.

Barcelonian style is sooooooo hip. I've been to Rome (okay for elegant), Paris (what a disappointment), London (expensive)--but Barcelona was fresh, interesting, young, and creative. This was one of the stores that hung all their graphic t-shirts upside down in the entryway. Just a kick of an experience. It is a younger crowd for this store, but even the stores for the more mature buyer were quite interesting.

I just loved going into the store--it's a great adventure. A little pricey because of the euro, but such interesting stuff.
