Melia Barcelona : Good Hotel For Someone Catching Cruise Ship
Satisfaction:

Just stayed one night. Paid for access to executive floor and got light dinner and breakfast there. The meals were fine but not elaborate. Room was very nice but weakness was TV. if you are an English speaker there isn't much to watch. The hotel is in a middle class apartment neighborhood so there are not a lot of restaurants but there are some. Two Japanese places were within walking distance. I found a small bodega with a local clientele right across the mini park from the hotel. It was full of locals having an after work beer that looked like fun but I just bought some Coke light and went back to the hotel.
The elevators. You push your floor button on one central panel and are directed to the next elevator going to your floor. There are no buttons on the elevator. It cased confusion among guests but my wife figured it out in about 10 seconds.
We stayed at this hotel for one night. It isn't situated in the touristic centre of Barcelona. The nearest metro station is a 10 minute walk. It caters more for business people. The breakfast was very vast and very filling. The room was spotless as was the maid service.
