My room was spacious and attractive, and it had a very comfortable bed. The bathroom had a tub as well as a shower, and more than the usual assortment of toiletries. The hotel’s location on the Rambla, just a few blocks from Plaza Cataluna, is excellent.
The staff members were very helpful, and went out of their way for me on several occasions.
Unique Quality: Retaurants, pharmacies, and a grocery store are in easy walking distance, and there is an ice cream shop (my weakness) just 2 doors away.
This is of a few NH Hotels in Barcelona. It has a four star rating.
The location of the hotel is one of its major advantages. It is very centrally located and within walking distance of many restaurants and other things to do and see.
It is about 2 blocks away from Plaça de Catalunya.
I had a very pleasent stay here.
A very good breakfast is served from 7 to 11am.
The closets Metro station (Passeig de Garcia) is about 3 minutes from the hotel.
Unique Quality: The view from the roof is great.
There is a swimming pool and spa on the 11th floor.
Directions: Abou two block from Plaça de Catalunya
I have stayed at this hotel at least six times. It is the classic BCN modern business hotel. Staff is responsive and professional, room size is good, amenities are good, nice breakfast, excellent location for both business and tourism. It is located on the upper Ramblas, much quieter and more elegant, many nice shops, bars, restuarants, and one of the most popular tapas bars is two doors down, where you can order to go and have a great little romantic dinner in the room
Hi, I will be residing at the Onix Rambla Hotel to attend a 3day seminar at NH Calderon hotel, can i have some help to arrive from Onix hotel to NH Calderon hotel please.
Appreciate to know also some nearby places of inteest and good value shopping arcades etc.
They are actually next door to each other, the Onix Rambla is at 24 Rambla de Catalunya, and the NH Calderon is at 26.
The Rambla de Catalunya is a lovely tree lined boulevard with many restaurants having terraces on its central pedestrian area, including two of the tapas restaurants most popular with tourists(Cuitat Comtal & Taller de Tapas). The main square, Plaça Catalunya is at the bottom of the boulevard, and at the other side of the square are the historic Gothic Quarter and the tourist trap of Las Ramblas.
Running parallel to Rambla de Catalunya, one block away is Passeig de Gracia, the wide main shopping boulevard where many designer shops and two of the Gaudi masterpieces (together with other Modernista buildings) are. The Boulevard Rosa is a nice twisting mall of interesting design shops and boutiques and runs between the two roads.
