See the Parc Guell, designed by Gaudi and easy to get to on one of the tourist buses that stop at all the major tourist sites. On the day that we were there a 'busker' was playing violin in an colonnaded area - the acoustics were fantastic.

Take a stroll along the Waterfront. A newly built waterfront with a big shopping centre and entertainment centre. There are lots of resturants too. Do try the seafood paella. Paella is considered the national dish of Spain. It is a dish of steam rice. A must try for any visit to Spain.
Great cafes
by acemj
Cafe culture is alive and well. Barcelona has many wonderful sidewalk cafes in which you can sit outside and linger over great food while watching people go by. In the touristy areas, just be ready for some local entertainers who will, of course, expect to be compensated for their sometimes unwanted services.
El Parque de la España Industrial
by Rupanworld
This park is located behind the Barcelona Sants train station. It is an industrial park that is quite different from other parks, but nevertheless it is very popular amongst the city children, youth and elderly alike. To my surprise, I came across some young boys playing Kabaddi (a very indian game) at the park.
A clothes shop like a millionaire's flat
by yelyah99 about Replay
OK, it's Replay. You can buy their jeans and tops in the UK (and they have some cool stuff - I bought a top in this very store), but what's special about this particular store is the design inside. There's a pool. And a hanging dragonfly sculpture thing. And more. You have to go to believe it. Pretend to be interested in the clothes while you discreetly gaze around yourself. But do not bring out your camera - I nearly got my head chopped off by a sales assistant for taking the picture (why?!) They seem to specialise in jeans and stuff, but I love their kitsch dresses and funky tops. My top was about 80 euros (£55) - kind of expensive for a bit of chiffon, but it's really unusual!
