the best apartment in Barcelona
We were staying in this apartment in November¡¦11. VEEEERY good location!!! You are in the city center (5 minutes¡¦ walk from Placa de Catalunya)!
The apartment is big enough (3 room, 1 bathroom with shower cubicle and WC and 1 separate WC), cleaned and nicely decorated. Everything were prepared.
Kitchen is fully equipped and has everything: toaster, microwave, kettle, large fridge, all kitchen appliances¡K There is air-conditions in the room, TV, DVD¡K Everything you need! I found even salt in the kitchen (I forgot to buy it for cooking) and washing powder (although we haven¡¦t used washing machine ƒº).
We found the folder with important and useful information about Barcelona on the table in the apartment. The only thing that I missed is city map but you can ask it in the airport already!
It would be very convenient apartment for couple with kids or for two couples travelling together. This apartment is comfortable to stay up to 5 persons.
I will recommend this apartment to my friends and next time I will stay there again!

Apartamenty czyste, skromnie urządzone z dobrze wyposażoną kuchnią.
Unique Quality: Znakomicie położone apartamenty, dobre miejsce na zwiedzanie miasta a zarazem na odpoczynek -cisza i spokój, blisko stacja metra. Obok dwa duże sklepy sieciowe spożywcze, dużo knajp i sklepów(zresztą jak w całym mieście).W biurze gdzie wydawane są klucze -panie mówiące po polsku. Polecam!!!!

Great apartment! Will use service again
The apartment we rented was conveniently located near the Urgell metro station, 10 minute walk from Passeig de Gracia, and 20 minutes from La Rambla. This provided us the comfort and seclusion of being away from the hustle and bustle of the main areas of Barcelona, but also ease of access to everything else.
The apartment itself was very modern. Great art decorated the location and new furniture throughout the apartment. If anyone is visiting and does not want to pay the sometimes extreme prices of hotels in the center of the city or deal with the hassles of a hostel, then I highly recommend using Old Town Apartments/ApartmentsApart.

A pleasant surprise
I had a very strict budget limitation when I was looking for an apartment for our stay in Barcelona. So I was not in a position to expect something extraordinarily good.
Well, guess what - it was that good !
The office we were supposed to take the keys from is on a strategic spot near Placa Catalunya, very easy to find and access from the Airport. The staff was friendly and helpful and gave us some great tips. The apartment was located in a residential building in the Sagrada Familia area, which is not the ideal center, but still a very good place and easily accessible via Barcelona Metro (100 meters from a Metro stop).
We were very pleasantly surprised as we arrived at the apartment. It was new. Very clean and tidy, 3 room/2 bedroom, nicely decorated and having everything needed for a comfortable stay of up to 5 persons. And I mean everything. There was fully equipped kitchen, a washing and a drying machine, TV and wireless Internet (available for a small fee payable at the office), good air condition, DVD player.
What was most touching was the fact that they actually left us free coffee/tea for our first morning in Barcelona. Very nice :)
The thing that amazed us the most was the view to one of Barcelona's greatest treasures - Sagrada Familia. There was a large balcony with a table and chairs and this amazing view of Gaudi's masterpiece.
Actually all of us were impressed and we never felt that we're in a hotel or hostel or someone else's property. We felt like...home.
There was a funny situation of us leaving by mistake one day earlier. When we realized the mistake, we were already at the airport, and we have had our keys left at the office. So, we had to call the company to tell them that we made a mistake and we have one night more to sleep in the apartment. It was outside the working hours. But the guy was very helpful and he didn't charge us a cent for getting him out of home after hours. Very, very nice impression.
Unique Quality: Outstanding view. Cozy. Easy to find. Great service! Perfectly acceptable price!

Rambla Catalunya - Highly Recommended
When we arrived in Barcelona, late and a little lost we were happy to find that the main office of Old Town Apartments was a short 5 to 10 minute taxi ride away from the central bus station. Though it was late the staff receiving us was welcoming and very helpful; we received good tips on where to go, how to get there and what to do. The map we were equipped with to get to our apartment was probably more accurate than the free one we got from the tourist center! (Note: it's worth spending a little dosh on a good map or printing out from google maps beforehand; do NOT rely on the free map from the tourist center).
We stayed at the "Rambla Catalunya". The apartment was exactly as described. Pictures found on the Old Town Apartments website were up-to-date and did not give a false sense of size as we found other websites sometimes do; so what you see is exactly what you get.
All the rooms were large, clean and tastefully appointed. Worth a special mention is the large balcony dining area, light and airy, with a nice enough view; a great place to hang out if you have time.
We had central heating that worked well enough; water supply was strong and well heated; the kitchen was well equipped with a large fridge (not that you really needed big one), the kettle didn't fail us and neither did the washing machine and dryer. Free instant coffee and tea provided too. We were also happy to find instruction manuals to the washing machine and dryer (they actually had instruction manuals to all appliances - quite thoughtful of management). Bathrooms were all clean, well lit and ventilated, and all the essentials were there (i.e. towels, toilet-paper, liquid soap). The beds used were comfortable. All in all, we were well taken care of.
The apartment was centrally located within 5 minutes walk from Placa de Catalunya, the main square in Barcelona, and about 10 to 15 minutes walk to the Ramblas. You'll find a manual provided by management which gives you directions from the apartment to restaurants, where to get groceries if you want, shopping and sites; some helpful general tips there too. Again very thoughtful of management. There are a number of quaint boutique shops, restaurants and bakeries surrounding the apartment.
Would stay at this particular apartment again in a flash, and based on this stay, would not hesitate to book through Old Town Apartments for future trips.
