Go to La Rambla because there are a lot of touristy things in this area Going to the Maremagnum every night with my friends. It is a place that has several different clubs to choose from right near the Meditteranean.

hello,
planning to arrive in barcelona by bus from the south of france. bus website is asking which station i prefer to end up in, barcelona sants or nord.
which station is better/nearer if i plan to take a tax to my hotel which is very near la sagrada familia and the teatro nacional de catalunya?
thanks in advance.
I am not a local but I was playing around with Google and it looks like BCN Nord BUS station is closer - I actually put the little dude down to make sure there was a bus station in the destination.
If you don't get an answer from a local -you can try to confirm via Google maps - I used Sagrada Familia as one point, then estacion autobuses xxx for the other.
thanks nomad, was trying google maps earlier but my browser started acting up so never got to find out where either station was located. it's working again now and did the same as you suggested. yup, nord seems to be a lot nearer.
thanks a lot.
Great, glad it worked for you!
Where in the south of France are you riding the bus from Miko? I plan to eventually take a trip to Beziers and Carcassonne from Barcelona and would be interested in hearing about your bus ride if it goes thru any of those cities.
North Bus station is definitely closer to the National Theater and Sagrada d Familia.
North Bus station is nor far from the Arc Triumph.
Estació del Nord Bus Station.
As Dswede says its close to Arc de Triomf. You can walk to the metro station at Arc de Triomf and take the Red Line (L1) to Clot. From Clot take the Purple Line (L2) to Sagrada Familia or Monumental depending on which stop your hotel is closer to, since you say its near SF and teatro nacional.
thanks a lot guys, i appreciate the info. will check the metro routes.

Visit the old town. The GOTHIC QUARTER contains the famous Barcelona Cathedral & La Ribera (14th century mansions, one of which is the famous Museu Picasso). The BARRI GOTIC is the oldest part of this city & Romans lived here during Augustus (27 BC - AD 14) reign.
In spite of all the hype everybody seems to understand ordinary Spanish though the frequent use of Catalan can get you really muddled. (Photo unconnected - a street light in Plaça Real which was possibly the earliest of Gaudi's commissions.)
When you visit a special wine bar. Enjoy it when they have good educated stuff who knows about the product of wine. The meaning is NOT to get drunk, just to enjoy this good delicious thing God gave us. The wine!
Who doesn't know El Corte Ingles?Something very special about the El Corte Ingles in Barcelona is the view that you have from the top floor of this store. You can have a drink,a snack or a complete meal in the restaurant on the top floor and anjoy a great view of this city. Here you can buy almost everything. Depends on what you buy take your creditcard with you
