Hola! Barcelona Tours

by travelinshoes

We will be in Barcelona and we are thinking of booking a private tour of Barcelona with the company "Hola! Barcelona Tours". I was wondering if anyone has used them and if so, how was it?
It sounds good, just wanted to double check..

Or you could use the Bus Turistic and go at your own pace.

I agree with Ranger. Exploring on your own is so much more fun. If you feel completely overwhelmed by that idea, take the bus turistic for a half or whole day to get your bearings then go off on your own.

by francismir

Catalans have the unjust reputation of being cold and frigid towards outsiders. I find this not true. My closest friends are Catalans and they are the warmest people that i have ever met. One thing though, Catalans are spendthrifts and this is their reputation throughout Spain. This aspect is highly justified. It helps to know this when the person at the flea market is absolutely stubborn in his resolve not to grant you a bargain. Other than that everything is pretty much cool!

A beautiful, plush day-trip from Barcelona

by gotodd

In the middle of a weeklong sojourn in Barcelona we hopped a train from Placa de Catalunya and headed to Hotel Termes in La Garriga. This spa offers any length stay you desire and also provides for visiting just the spa without staying the night. A one-night stay with unlimited use of the thermal cycle and pools, plus two treatments (per person), a superior dinner with a bottle of wine and breakfast the next day runs a tidy 370 euro for two. Sounds a lot, and probably is, but it's a fabulous venue with excellent food and a top-notch staff. La Garriga is a 45-minute train ride (Renfe) from Place Catalunya (the C3 linea), and the spa is only a five minute walk from the train station. We chose mud wraps and pressure showers to blend in with hours spent in the pool, the thermal circuit and unbelievably soft sheets in our room. A highly recommended, over-the-top treat for a day away from the city.

Museu Dali, in Figures. It will take you an hour and a half or so by train from Barcelona (Sants Station), but will be worth it. There is something that ventures a beyond playfulness in Dali's work and begins to enter into the realm of magic. If you are a fan, I don't need to tell you to go, you will be drawn here.
