girona airrport to port

by sardoris71

Hi, we want to know the best way to get from girona airport to barcelona port to board our boat. We have all day in Barcelona before we need to board and want to know the safest place to keep our luggage. Thanks for looking!

The easiest (and cheaper, and probably faster) way to go from GRO airport to Barcelona is taking the buses that are scheduled after each flight. These will take you to Estació del Nord in Barcelona (main bus station). There are lockers where you can leave your luggage.

Belsaita is right as usual (hola! :)
just to add your luggage will be safe in the lockers,
but (in case you didn't know) in the station and touristic areas like Las Ramblas/Old Town etc etc
- be careful, do not give the thieves any opportunity.

Yes- I would agree. Just take the Barcelona bus from the airport. Leave your luggage at the bus station and get the metro into the centre to have a look around- I would head for Passeig de Gracia and have a relaxing lunch on Rambla de Catalunya. You´ll then need to head back to get your bags and get a taxi to get down tot he port with your bags. Taxis are very reasonable in Barcelona.

Travel Tips for Barcelona

Well, I'm not really from...

by dimrux

Well, I'm not really from Barcelona (BCN)city, but I live 55km in the north of it.
I live in a small village of about 3000 inhavitans called Hostalets de Balenyà, placed + or - in the centre of the Catalonia region in Spain,in a area called Osona. Our area: Osona, is also called La Plana de Vic, becasuse of it's shape and its location.

I'ts a flat region surrounded by mountains exept for a small opening in the south part that opends its way to BCN.

If u want to see more detailed where I exactly live and all the interesting things u can see, visit, do... in the area visit this page:

The ethereal tree people

by kazander

After you have been in Barcelona awhile you aren't impressed by performances easily, as you see a street performance every place you go, especially la Rambla. But these tree people right outside the Cathedral were definately worth watching . The costumes and their movements to music were otherworldly!

If you are taking pictures of the street performers you should really give them a tip.

Barcelona Sports Clubs

by Gili_S

Football is the most popular sport here of course and Barcelona is one of the richest football clubs in the world, However, Barcelona have also successful basketball and handball professional clubs that were winning domestic and European trophies.

PARC GUELL

PARC GUELL: This is another Gaudi's masterpiece. Built in 1910 & designated a World Heritage Site by UNESCO, this is a very different kind of park we're used to. With a site of 20 hectares, this park has very colorful ceramic motifs & very unique decorations.

Shawls, hats and other romantic things

by LanaFromRiga about Shoes / Clothes

On streets of Barcelona you can see many small shops and there ladies can find very interesting things for themselves. By the way if you will go to one of many churches in Barcelona don’t forget that women have to cover their arms. It is one of reasons why you have to buy new shawl to yourselves. Start price is one euro til 20.
