We stayed at this hotel for 6 nights. The location is fabulous- on one of the side streets at the Rambla (Barri Gotico), a walking distance from the Cathedral, port area, La Rambla,Picasso Museum, Placa Catalunya, Plaça Reial, Passeig de Gracia and much more.
The room was a nice size, twin beds, flat screen TV, sound proof windows and a nice little balcony, bathroom with a shower. Breakfast was OK- the same everyday but still OK. The staff was nice and helpfull.
Overall, we loved the hotel first and foremost for it's great location. If you'r looking for a place to rest after a long day of siteseeing then this hotel if graet.
The street itself is allways crowded and cheerfull, there are some very nice restaurants and pubs.

2005: Average hotel, nothing special.
2011: Restyled and modernised. Breakfast as good as it was in 2005. Liked it better now.

I was there from 12/22/2006 to 1/2/2007.
Most of cheapest motels in Texas is better then this 3 star hotel.
Room 4x3 meters, small bath combined with toilet.
99% of personnel do not speak English. I feel like I am in some medieval prison with broken walls, floor and barely have enough light to read newspaper.
Unique Quality: Bad cheef in restorant.I do not know who and why gave them 3 star ratings....

very pleasant stay. very friendly hotel, very clean, nice basic room, although bathroom was a little bit dated and in need of repair - overall very pleased!. Situated down a side street, we felt we were miles from anywhere how wrong we were! to the right was a square where people met to dance, drink, entertain. To the left down cobbled streets another square with lots of restaurants, fountains (there are a few). A short stroll from the port.

We had 3 nights in this hotel. It was very comfortable had very friendly and helpful staff. It has a restaurant but we did not use it so I cannot comment on the service or food. The hotel was in such a good location to all the cafe's & bars etc, you are spoilt for choice.
Because it was off the Ramblas it was nice and quiet.
Unique Quality: The hotel Rialto has a restaurant which does a buffet breakfast (12 euros) has a bar. a few minutes directly off the Ramblas with some great eateries and bars. On top of the Old Cathedral. In all a very good location.

Rialto Hotel is located in heart of Barcelona´s Gothic Quarter and next to the Town hall and the local goverment place. Hotel is also in the business centre of the city.

Unique Quality: Hotel Rialto have a very good restaurant called Restaurant Miró. This restaurant was recently inaugurated and serves Mediterranean and international cuisine. The Rialto Hotel offers on site dining and is convenient to shopping and entertainment venues.

The Hotel Rialto Barcelona is ideal for business people and tourist alike, due to the proximity to both the business districts and many tourist sights. Upon entering to this marble filled parlor of history, one immediately feels the southern ambience that is bound to make the guest feel at home. Many of the rooms are nicely decorated with wooden panel flooring. The Hotel Rialto Barcelona is centrally situated in the heart of the city's Joan Miro birth-house Gothic Quarter next to the Town Hall and the local government Palace. It is also in the business center of the city where close proximity to public transportation enables easy access to the city's tourist sights.

The Rialto hotel is a great and cheap lovely hotel located in the heart of the gothic quarter. It has the peculiarity of being in a 19th century building in which the renowned painter Joan Miró was born.

I have read reviews and can't believe some of the bad comments.
We stayed in the quad room which was basic but clean and beds were changed every day. Cleaner even folded up all our clothes and laid them out. We found all staff friendly and the lady serving in the bar was wonderful with the children. What a lovely friendly hotel in a great location.
Looking for friends (parents and a 6-year-old girl) for a cheap, central, easy to reach by public transport accomodation with 2+1 bed, shower and breakfast in Barcelona in August. Thanks
Rialto Hotel is situated in the heart of the Gothic quarter, near Joan Miró's birth house and next to the Town Hall and the Catalan government palace, just beside the Plaça Sant Jaume square and in a few steps from Las Ramblas.

I'm staying in Hotel Regencia Colon this July. I booked it via lastminute.com and later when I went to confirm a question I had with the hotel via telephone, the gentleman couldn't be any more friendly. I'm looking forward to staying here- it's very central yet cheap and cheerful! I've read many good reviews about it. Nothing luxury but it does the job! It is a cute place to enjoy barcelona, one of the best neighbourhood.
Metro: The flat is 5 minutes from Sarrià Station and 10 from Maria Cristina Station.
The price is 400€ for one month for the Double Room and 300€ for the Individual one.
