Airport to Mar Bella Beach
by johnnie79
I would like to know the fastest and cheapest way from the Airport to Mar bella Beach. My hotel name is Barceló Atenea Mar
Address: Paseo Garcia Faria 37-47. 08019
(Nearest Metro Stop Poblenou)
Under which zone of the metro system is the Stop Poblenou?
What Ticket do you recommend for 4 Days in Barcelona? Because I am planning to travel a lot with the Metro/Bus.
Thnx
Johnnie

All the city, including train to the BCN airport is included in zone 1
The cheapest (and fastest apart of taking a taxi) option for you will be buying a T-10 card (10 trips, 7.95€) at the train station at the airport in Terminal 2 (if you're arriving to T1 you have free buses to T2). Take the train to Passeig de Gracia, there change to metro Line 4 (yellow) to Poblenou. Just be prepared for a veeeeery long underground corridor between the train station and the metro station in Passeig de Gracia.
The T-10 card is usually the best option unless you are doing a lot of trips (more than 6 per day). It is unlikely you will use so many trips as the city is compact and walkable. But you can check the transport authority website for other options: www.tmb.cat
Have fun!

You also can take the bus,it is cheapest way to center of barcelona, the ticket only about 1.2euro,there is LINE 46 to PLAZA ESPANA or LINE N17 to final stop near PLAZA CATALUNA,then you can take metro line 1 change to line 4,to stop Poblenou. But it will take more time.

It will take more time.... and it will be the same price than the option I gave above (assuming using a T-10, train + metro is = a 1 trip ;-)

its no secret, i always go commando, but on the day of my birthday i decided to show everyone. while walking down los ramblas, we came to this statue of a lion and everyone was cheering for me to mount it. so ofcourse i climbed up, and while my friend dean was giving me a friendly push up, i heard and felt a rip. not only did my girlfriend get a picture, but so did some passing tourist. i was embarrassed but at the same time it was a good laugh. my friend nacho patched it up with some paper clips we had, and we were on our way...
Take the tourist bus when you...

Take the tourist bus when you first visit this town. It brings you to the most interesting tourist-places. You can get of at each stop. Almost every fifteen minutes you can take a next bus. This city has much to offer. Heights and beach, architecture, tapas, and it just feels goood to be there and walk around.

Graphic Design

Being a graphic designer myself I pay atention to this kind of things. BCN is really a trandy city in this aspec, you will find many exhibitions, studies, agencies, and the best spanish graphic design come from this city, I must admit.
You will notice that in the exhibitions posters, leaflets... and in many cool shops.
Sitges
by MM212
Sitges is a beautiful seaside resort within close proximity to Barcelona. Due to the short 45-minute train ride, the charming town has become a favourite summer destination for Barcelona residents and visitors alike. While most visitors go directly to the beach, the historic town does not lack in cultural and historical aspects. La Vila Vella (Old Sitges) traces its roots to the pre-Roman period. It remained an agricultural and fishing village before turning into a defensive castle in mediaeval times, but with increased commercial links to the Americas in the 18th century, Sitges entered the modern period with greater affluence and importance. The Fin de Siècle period attracted many Catalan artists, writers and intelligentsia, thus making Sitges a focal point of Catalan identity and leading to the construction of many Modernista buildings – an important manifestation of Catalan self-expression.

Sants Just i Pastor church
by tompt
This romanesque gothic church was built in 1342, but work on it continued into the 16th century. Above the entrance portal, an enthroned Virgin is flanked by a pair of protective angels. The Latin inscription hails her as Virgo Nigra et Pulchra, Nostra Patrona Pia (Black and Beautiful Virgin, Our Holy Patroness). There is a single nave with the chapels. Doors are usaually closed expect for Sunday Mass, we were lucky there was a marriage planned and we could enter.
It is one of the oldest churches in Barcelona and is dedicated to the two martyrs, Just and Pastor.
Address: Pl. de Sant Just, 5
in the Gothic Quarter.
