Very hi-tech trendy hotel, with amazing modern rooms with brilliant views of the city.
Laterooms offer rooms around the £40 mark, which is great value for Barcelona and an excellent saving from there normal £200 per room rate. Excellent restaurant within the hotel with a fabulous tasting menu, fairly pricey though, but hey, you saved money on the room!

Very plush bar !!!
Unique Quality: The bar was very smart,and a bit expensive,but seeing as its a 4* hotel,it was as expected. The buffet at breakfast was really good,for 30 Euros,lots of fresh fruit and croissants.

Glass everywhere !!!
Unique Quality: The rooms were very smart,lots of 10mm thick glass everywhere,very bright and airy rooms.Very comfy,fridge,plasma screen tv etc !!! Charlie says its much better than a tent in Devon ........anyday !!!

Very Hi-Tech
Very smart hotel,4 star,very welcoming staff at reception,I booked it thro` www.expedia.com and got a twin room overlooking The Sagrada Famila,the hotel is next to Barcelonas equivalent of londons "Gerkin",a huge office block that can be seen from anywhere in the city.
Unique Quality: Theres a pool on the roof,overlookig the port area,unfortuanately a tv film was being made at the only time I wanted to go for a swim !!! A Spanish Tv comedy...Well I didnt know the stars !!!
Stayed at this hotel for a long weekend at end of March. Nice modern hotel with helpful staff (they helped arrange tickets for the football directly with the ticket office so we knew that we paid face value). The room was clean, fresh and contemporary and beds were very comfy. The electronic sun shades were ideal for a mid afternoon siesta.
The location was pretty good as the metro station was just 2 mins away and is just four stops (10 mins) from La Rambla and is in a reasonably quiet area with large shopping centre close by.
The bar was reasonable and always fairly busy, but as others have mentioned the pool is ridiculously small.
Overall a good hotel offering good value for money and a convenient base for exploring Barcelona

This hotel was the cleanist hotel I have stayed in, the room was spoless. the decor of the hotel is fabulous and very modern. The staff were helpfull and polite. The location is ideal.....a 2 minute tube ride for the bustle of the rambles and the main squares. the tube stop is called glories and is a 4/5 minute walk from the hotel. The hotel is easy to find as it is right next to one of the biggest buildings in barcelona which is a tall cone shape ( you cant miss it). there is a small shopping area with a supermarket just behind the hotel if you want to pick up essentials. overall a clean and trendy hotel which i really enjoyed.

I loved this hotel. The modern design is great. On entering, the lobby and bar area look stylish and are very welcoming, as are the staff. The rooms have a light airy feel and are bright and clean. They have minimal furnishings but there is enough space for clothes etc. The rooms are a good size and the bathroom quite large. I liked the glass walls of the bathroom and the privacy of the toilet screen. I also loved that an entire wall of the room was a window. The room had a safe and a mini bar which was reasonably priced. The shower was very powerful, which to me is the measure of a good bathroom. I liked the free toiletries and these were replaced each day. The location, at Glories, was very convenient. Out of the city so there wasn't much noise, but next to the Metro for easy access to the centre. Only 4 stops to the Ramblas. The Glories shopping mall is across the road and has a cinema, lots of shops including C&A and H&M, restaurants and a Starbucks. Perfect!

Stayed here with my wife & 21 year old daughtewr. Loved the hotel except for the restaurant which was quiet & without any atmosphere. Rooms & bar were excellent, worth upgrading to superior as quite a bit bigger. Also great at night up at the pool cocktail bar with views over the city. Pool is very small but ok to cool off in after walking around Barcelona. Best to use taxi/tram as a fair walk from restaurants & sea front.

Hi. I need your help!
I'm looking to take my partner to Barcelona in February for her Birthday - and also to propose on the same day.. Being a 25 year old male, Im trying desparate to do a good job of this!
I would be greatful if anyone could help with the following... 1.Has anyone visited the new Silken Diagonal hotel, close to Glorias metro - and also any comments/also website for the hotel? 2. Restaurants for the night-time, I'm looking for romantic and not too expensive. 3. Places on the day to propose..I have been suggested cable car to WTC.? Know i'm asking a lot but all help would be greatfully appreciated!

Sorry not heard anything about that hotel but the ritz if you can afford it will be a very and impressive place to stay cable car sounds good but have you thought about if she gets really exited she can hardly jump up and down what about this idea does she like oysters? you could slip the ring into her oyster or somthing on those linesthere are plenty of nice restaurants and quiet down by the port. hope this helps CONGRATULATIONS IN ADVANCE

I can see this hotel from my kitchen window! Obviusly I've not stayed here, but it looks fantastic, specially in case you like modern architecture/design. The location is pretty good as there is metro, buses and tram stops very close to it.
Regarding where to proposal, cable cat could be nice... but sometimes it's crowded so no much intimacy there. My husband proposed me after attending a concert at Palau de la Musica (wonderful place indeed) and I found it very romantic.
