 | Barcelona Suizo Reviews | Tips 1 - 2 of 2 | | This hotel is in an ideal location if you want to explore the old town (Gothic Quartier, El Born...), as it is near the Jaume I Metro station. Inside is not particularly charming. A bit noisy, but the windows are noise-protected. Leave a Comment

 | | | | Suizo: Central, with some helpful staff

We arrived in March 2003, and the next day they started major refurbishments! We had to use the tiny laundry lift (one at a time) as the stairs were not always available! We were given a token to get breakfast at another hotel across the road, as the bar/restaurant had been totally ripped out! And, perhaps disturbed by all the building work, we were visited by cockroaches in our room. On the other hand, when my friend discovered she had picked up the wrong suitcase from the airport, the man on reception could not help enough, calling the airport and airline for us. His English was better than the rest of the staff though - as we discovered when we tried to ask someone to get rid of the bugs, and clean our room! Altogether, not a happy stay, though it is well situated near the heart, right by a metro stop, and lots of places to eat Leave a Comment
