Travelodge L'Hospitalet
This Travelodge hotel is in front of La Fira 2 (Barcelona's new exhibition & trade fair area). There is no bus or metro stop nearby. The only way to reach this place is the taxi.
If the purpose of your visit is not business in the area of Hospitalet or a trade fair, honestly that's not the place.
If the purpose of being there is just being "close" to the airport, that really makes no sense, as you'll be (just a bit) closer to the airport but your transport options will be limited to taxis.

Free room in Travelodge/Barcelona
If anybody needs a free hotel room in Barcelona on Jan 2 or Jan 6 for one night - feel free to send me a message.
I have booked rooms for several nights at Travelodge in Barcelona over New Year stay during their recent sale with their dirt-cheap, but non-refundable fares, and it looks like I will not need some of them. I booked 2 rooms for myself and another couple, but they have to change their plans and will not stay there at those two nights (nothing booked in between, as we plan to drive around on these days). So I thought to offer it to anybody who can make a better use of it. As I should stay at the hotel, I do not think check in would be problem. I know, it`s not RITZ, but I am not asking for anything, so it`s free:) And you know what to expect from Travelodge. It currently goes for 45euro per night with their non-ref fare.

What a nice thing to do!! Wish I were going to be in Barcelona, but alas - I'm not. Just wanted to say how nice it is for you to do this!
