We went for a weekend break. On arrival the man behind the desk booked us in but it seemed that we were disturbing him. He told us nothing about when/where breakfast was, internet access or even said 'enjoy your stay'.
On getting to the room we were happy with it, reasonable size,modern and clean. TV was a nice lcd on the wall however tuning was shocking - it really shouldn't be too hard for a decent picture these days. Outside view was of other flats so we kept the blinds/curtains shut.
On return from long walk went to the bar. Waited around for service but no-one came. Surprising as across from the bar is reception where our miserable friend was. Went and asked him about getting a drink and he bothered himself to ring someone to get us a drink (this happened both nights).
The female bar staff was very nice however.
On getting back the room it was too hot. Tried for a while to get the air con to work but couldn't get it cold. Rang down to reception and was told basically as it was winter it only worked on hot. If we wanted the room colder we should open the balcony door.
On checking out I left a bag with them for safe keeping whilst we popped out again. On returning 5hrs later asked for my bag back. It was still next to the reception desk where I had left it !!!!!!
On the whole the hotel was nice however the staff let it down as they appear to not be bothered. Not all of them, the girl behind the bar was nice and the staff in the breakfast room (first floor if they dont tell you) are nice.
