Going about ones own business trying to see the sights at the botanic gardens I was sort of suddenly caught of guard by some commmanding instruction to 'come this way' - when I did straight ahead a red parrot caught my eye while at the same time from around behind a corner of foliage a white parrot was put on my shoulder by the assistant of the guy with the commanding voice while he suddenly told me to smile for the camera!!
So off guard to resist its a somewhat psychological ploy? to play on the tendency for tourist to have the desire for a souvenir factor with one self in it I guess - at the exit to your visit around the gardens the 2 in question have a stall displaying the photo taken - one being an A5 sized photo and the other - a set in resin or some plastic to make a longterm keepsake dish - already made up possibly a hoped for deterent to say no - both at I regarded rather expensive 6 euro each.
