Parking in the riverbed
by lichinga
Parking place may be a serious problem, indeed. So, here's an innovative approach (I've seen something similar in Parati, RJ - Brazil, where parks might be left in a low-tide area, provided you know when the sea rises!) in the heart of Cadaques.
Sa Conca. A not so crowded small beach.
by NuriaBCN
If you are in Cadaqués during summer and would like to splash in the water and sunbath for a while there is a quite a small peeble beach ( all the beaches in Cadaques have peebles ) named Sa Conca.
Once you are in the centre of Cadaques at the seafront just go all the way to the left around the coast. ( You can either go walking or by car, it´s not more than 1km. anyway )You´ll be passing beside the "Jane beach"
( which is also small but probably quite crowded during summer )
You´ll find Hotel Jane Petit in front of you, follow the path behind it and keep walking it. If you find a juction always take the path on the left and you will finally end in Sa Conca beach.
The Rocamar hotel is placed there. ( A 3 star hotel ) but even so it is still one of the most quiet beaches of Cadaques during summertime.
It is not as close as the other beaches but it´s certainly worth the walk.
There is a Scuba Diving School in there as well.
Whatever choice you make enjoy this little jewel of the Mediterranean that Cadaques is.
My favorite place of the country where I was born, Catalunya.
Port de la Selva has gorgeous...

Port de la Selva has gorgeous and narrow street, with white houses in a excellent bay that comes from Llança or from Roses and on the top of the mountain road to left hand leaving road to Cadaques to right side

If you have see all in Cadaqués and you want to see more then you can take some excursions. You can go for instance to the lighthouse in Cap de Creus (Crosses’ Cape). In your journey you see amazing landscapes.
Great costal village

"Cadaques, in the shadow of Dali"
Thanks to Dali this costal village in Catalunya, on the Costa Brava near France is on the map and in the eye of those looking to find a still authentic town but with services for visitors. I would never vacation in a place such as Salou or Benidorm so for me Cadaques is perfect. No it doesnt have expansive sand beaches, more like rocks, but thats what makes it nice. It keeps away the throngs of tourists (the windy mountain road to get there does the same thing) and allows just enough to get in and keep the ecomomy going. I was even surprised to see that the price of a flat there is not much cheaper than in Madrid or Barcelona!
I suppose the reaction people have about the town is similar to mine, Its cute, its nice and I would love to spend some time there in the summer!
