"Small but busy tourist place."
We stayed at a campground called La Torre del Sol about 7km to the south of Cambrills and took our hired car to this busy tourist place 3-4 times during our almost 14days in Cayalunya. In Cambrills there were a lot of shopping opportunities and many places to eat. Almost all of the restaurants were placed outside and between the road along the harbour and the paralell street. This paralell road was the main shopping street in Cambrills. The town is about 130km to the south of Barcelona and a bit smaller than the neighbour to the north Salou. Salou is just outside of Tarragona who is much larger. This area has both and airport and and a large amusement park called Port Aventura
From this area it is also easy to drive up to Andorra.
Cambrills had a beautiful church
"The amusement park"
You need at least one day to cover all of Port Aventura. The park is divided
into different country themes. Going here on a hot day should be no problem. Many of the activities include water so you will probably get wet.
