I would contact the hotel and see what they say about transport. Also check the Girona airport website. Be sure and pay attention to the day of the week and time of day because the schedule vary accordingly.

try also resorthoppa
this may not be operating if you are intending going soon but it collects at the airport and drops off as near to your hotel as the bus can park
we used it in october last year without problems and it cost around 32gbp for 2 people return
pineda is very quiet but if you want a bit of life walk on the beach front down into Santa Susanna( or get the train from the sea front ( matter of a few euros)
its like blackpool in the sun down there( well it seemed it to us anyway)
i liked pineda as we needed a quiet break
have fun

Onyar Houses - Les cases de l'Onyar
by KiNyA
The view of the houses on the Onyar river, built from the late Middle Ages onwards, is one of the most authentic of Girona.
When I first visited Girona I immediatelly thought it's kind of like Venice (Italy). Colorful buildings and Onyar river with its incountable bridges really gave me this impression, althrough the cities in reality are quite different. Few months later, when I went to Porto (Portugal), I got the same feeling. It's just colorful buildings, water and bridges... :-)
Local Catalan Cuisine
by bpwillet
Catalonian cuisine, which has been subject to so many influences, is very good and filling. Fish and seafood are always fresh, and sausages and meats are usually local and very good. There a many cold dishes like Catalan Salad (various greens, cold meats, and vegetables), escalivada (roast aubergines, onions and red peppers) and xat? (curly endive lettuce, cod and anchovies). Most popular dishes are butifarra (Catalan sausage with beans), longaniza (local spiced sausage) and fuet (a delicious type of salami). Catalunya also has very good wines.
Trip along the Costa Brava
by HORSCHECK
If you have a car you should drive along the scenic Costa Brava coastline which is situated to the east of Girona. The magnificient coastal area has a rocky coastline with sheltered coves and excellent beaches. Moreover a fine mountain region is visible in the background.
Barcelona Bus
by Meadows11
If flying in to Girona with the intention of going to Barcelona, then the Barcelona Bus is the way to go. This bus takes regular trips in to the city centre from the airport and you can buy a return ticket for around 15 euros. The trip takes between 90 minutes and two hours, and the bus is perfectlt comfortable, dropping you nearish the Sagrada Familia. You are dropped right near a metro stop and plenty of taxis are available to.
One tip: Just remember to check at the airport when your return bus departs Barca, a tip my parents should have found about recently. They missed their bus by ten minutes and had get a taxi, which cost them just short of 100 euros!
Bar - cofeteria
by Raimix about JORBEL
Jorbel is a nice small cozy bar at the square of Sant Pere. Here first time Spanish tortilja (omelette) and good taste sandwitches with streaky bacon were tried.
Here we met nice Latino American looking waitress, she helped us to orient where to find at least one food shop, working on Sundays :)
The place has quite reasonable prices and looked like having popularity by local visitors.
