My friend and I stayed at an apartment here for two nights. When I walked in, I was very impressed by the lobby and the overall decor of the place, unfortunately, the apartments need a bit of an update. It's not to say that everything wasn't working fine and it wasn't clean--just need an update to match the rest of the place. This is a family owned place and all the family members working there were very night and most could speak at least a little English (if that is a concern for some people).
My only gripe (though I already knew about it) was the bells that would toll every 15 min. It almost seemed random--even the number of times it would toll. You definitely wouldn't be able to take a nap in the middle of the day. Also, DEFINITELY take a taxi here if you arrive by the train station and have heavy luggage. Walking up all those stairs--hundreds and hundreds of stairs with heavy luggage is NOT fun.
Unique Quality: Perfect location for exploring Girona.
Directions: This place is also across the street from Bellmirall, another cute hotel, which I initially wanted to stay at but was already booked when I called to make a reservation.
