Hi,

I think that the only way to go by bus is:
1st- Airport->Girona Bus Station with Sagalés (http://www.sagales.com). There is one bus every hour.
2nd- Girona Bus Station->Platja d'Aro with Sarfa (http://www.sarfa.es). Many buses every day.

I don't know about the hotel, but it is a 4**** so it should be really good.

Have nice days in Platja d'Aro.

Bye!

You first will have to drive into the city´s centre, because the airport is outside of the city itself. There are busses that use to drive this way in circles, it costs as I can remember something about 4 euro.
When you´re in the centre ask for the dircetion of the hotel, or ask the bus driver, sometimes they stop at a few places to leave the people out.

Hola again!
Ah, I see. This hotel is near Playa de Aro. It is very well located. From Girona you can or to rent a car, or take a bus to that place from the bus station.
You can rent a car at the airport of Girona directly at the page of RyanAir https://www.hertz.be/part/site/ryanair/index.cfm

When you arrive at Girona Airport or you take a taxi to Girona or it is a direct bus to the bus station.
It is a small airport and you will have no problem.

Palamos and Platja d'Aro are very animated cities in summer and lots of things to do there. For me the best is to take a boat (to rent) at Palamós and to visit the coast from the sea. Close to Palamos you have to visit Castell and other small beaches (to North) which are incredible and not so turisticate.
Platja d'Aro is a dream for new riches, full of shops, restaurants and discotheques… Good shops but lots of people, you cannot get annoyed. The beach is very long and good sand there.
At the hotel you have a perfect private beach which is wonderful and sure they have all sort of infos. So no worry. You will be perfect there.
In case you have more questions tell me and I'll try to help you.

Travel Tips for Girona

Fascinating architecture

by bpwillet

I really love interesting buildings and the way that some of them just "fit" in city scenes. Girona is no different. I felt that I was constantly gasping and taking my camera out to document all that I was seeing. The apartments on the River Onyar are great to look at and are quite unique. They are unlike anything else I have seen before and I am sure they get photographed a lot.

One of the most important tip...

One of the most important tip in Girona is their Jewish neighbourhood, the hugest in Catalonia, where a comunity of 300 people lived during 600 years
Nowadays the quarter offer a great breakaway for visitors who join cultural heritage tourist in Girona and beaches attractive towns in costa Brava beaches

Best pastries in Girona

by Malecka

I adore this bakery. First of, they offer the most fantastic bread in Girona, called Florentina. Not the cheapest bread but hey... worth it. Second, they offer fantastic pizzas, muffins, pies, sandwiches... really, a great offer and everything tastes wonderful.

Tapas or Pintxos

by scottishvisitor about Zanpanzar

Zanpanzar restaurant is a small local bar with a seperate restaurant with a very varied menu. We ate in the bar which had a cosy atmosphere, although the place was busy with business lunches being served, service was good. The waitress was a bit sour until we used a bit of local lingo - her warm smile brightened up the bar. Here they don't serve tapas - the speciality here is Pintxos which is traditional Basque cuisine also known as Pinchos. These are cold finger foods served on a slice of bread with a cocktail stick to ease serving. We also tried the local wine Txakoli which is slightly sparkling white wine served in little tumblers and the very delicious Bravas - deep fried potato pieces served with tangy salsa and tomato dip. An enjoyable and relaxing lunch for under 15 euros
