On the site I read:
When traveling to Barcelona i would recommend the train. You can catch the train in a village near L'estartit and park your car there. In about an hour you''ll be in Barcelona , Central Station.
But I can't find a train station in the direct neighbourhood, and train from Girona is 1h20. What is the best way to get from Estartit to Barcelona with public transport?
2nd question; where can I find a timetable?

I'm afraid the tip you read was not accurate (or the memory was paying tricks to the writer). No way you can reach Barcelona in 1 hour from L'Estartit or nearby. Incidentally I was there last Sunday... and by car it took me more than 2 hours each way!
The closest train station to L'Estartit is Flaça. It will be a 30-45 min drive depending of the road traffic. It tends to be quite congested
From Flaça there are trains to Barcelona every 30 min. These took about 1h 45 min
