barcelona trips
Hi stayed at the Aquarium twice its not in Llorett but in Fenals but only 10 minutes walk to the night life in Llorett . Good for a base bear in mind mainly spanish
2 ways to barcelona taxi to Blanes railway station around 10 euros then the train about 4 euros

perfect for a break
just back from the Aquarium, only just opened for this season, hotel is freshly painted and new fittings, still in a good position to travel along the costa brava,
Unique Quality: Food was good but remember they cater for the spanish customer, cost for half board was 37 euros each weekends and 25 euros midweek, per night per person the good thing is you pay on your departure total 5 nights half board 362 euros or £250 sterling
Rooms clean and fresh, little bit of noise at night, Would recommend a return visit as a base to tour around, staff friendly no major issues.

Hotel Aquarium is located in the beautiful seaside town of Lloret de Mar, in the south of Costa Brava, with more than 7 km of beaches combined with a wide range of leisure activities, such as shops, bars, restaurants, clubs, aquatic parks and different sporting programmes.
Among the services, guests will find a lounge-bar, TV lounge, large meeting room with a capacity of up to 50 people, Internet Point, outdoor swimming pool for adults and for children, exterior children's play area, indoor and heated swimming pool, Jacuzzi, sauna, UV sunbeds, a fully equipped gym and a garden.

to be sure
Hi, my mate and I are going for 5 nights in the aquarium hotel,we are over 35 will we enjoy lloret and secondly will it be easy for us to have a day trip to barcelona?

yes ranger is right. I'm over 35 (in fact 44) and Lloret is one place I don't like at all. But I did not liked it either when I was 20. But it may be a good base to explore the area. Some people I know from very different ages (some over 60, and their grandsons) think it's a great place indeed and came back year after year
The only I can help you is on your second question: yes is easy to reach Barcelona. You'll have to take the shuttle bus to Blanes station and there the train to Barcelona (line C1). Get off at "Catalunya" and you'll be in the very city centre
