Nearest State Hospital (NHS) to Malgrat de Mar

I am going on holiday with my wife to Malgrat de Mar Spain (near Lloret de Mar). I can only get basic holiday insurance for her, due to her heart problems. Hopefully she will be ok. Can any one tell me were the nearest State Hospital (NHS) is to Malgrat de Mar, so I can use her E111 card if she takes ill.

You'll be between 2 hospitals, the ones in Blanes and Calella. As well, you can get basic care at the CAP Malgrat de Mar (Primare Care Center). All these are part of the "Corporació de Salut del Maresme i la Selva" (Public health services of this region, depending of CatSalut, Catalan Health Service)

When you don't want to hang around on the beach all day, make an excursion to Andorra. Granted it is a 4 hour trip, just to get there, but it is worth the time. Andorra is a small country on the border of Spain and France. It is in the middle of the mountains, so you can always go skiing. Also alchohol, watches and perfume are very cheap there, because of the taxes in Andorra.
