Short of sunshine.
My partner and I have just returned from a 14 day stay at the Hotel Tropic Park. As hotels go the food was acceptable. The rooms were cleaned and linen was changed every day. The entertainment was not to our tastes. Too much Spanish music which can sometimes be a little depressing. Even though we are non-swimmers our main gripe was the lack of sunshine on the swimming pool area due to a high building next to the hotel. In the afternoon there was no sun on the hotel at all. The swimming pool area was completely deserted. There is a garden area that does have pm sunshine but it is away from the pool area. There were quite a few German people staying the same time and some of them were quite rude. We all know about Germans hogging sun beds but these Germans seemed to think that they could go to the front of a queue at meal times ignoring the people who were there before them. They were soon sent packing but the cheek of them!
Unique Quality: It was a good pool but very rarely used due to the lack of sunshine. Great views of the hills from the back of the hotel. A sea view if you looked between trees that were just off the beach.

I have booked to stay at the Tropic Park in September and despite searching the internet I have found very few reviews. The reviews I came across on the holidaysuncovered website were quite old but positive. Since booking I found 2 German websites - holidaycheck.de and hotelbewertungen.net. The reviews only give a mediocre rating to the hotel but a Spanish review from November 2005 gave it a very good rating.

we're going to the Tropic Park too in July.
My friend and her family stayed there last October, she said the hotel was excellent and highly recommended it.
