This is a cosy , friendly family run hotel,basic but good. I booked online at 35 Euro single bed and breakfast . Room was en suite,tv, and air conditioning. The receptionist served at a small bar. There are 40 rooms. There was a small safe in room. Breakfast was good, bacon. sausage,omelette.cooked meats, cheese,choice of breads,and several tasty pastries and choc cake,.The promenade is about a 10 or 12 minute walk. Would stay here again
Unique Quality: 8 years ago i stayed at Eurosalou hotel, a large place catering for coach parties, it was good, but i like Tolosa hotel best,both hotels are in the same district of Salou.
Directions: Arriving by train, leave station at level crossing left [ away from beach ] then 2nd street on the right ,halfway down about 5 or 6 minutes from rail station.

I think it is possible (never used it myself) but probably the buses are run by another company than Plana

Salou is just over an hour drive from Barcelona so is a good place to stay if you want to visit the city for the day. We booked a coach trip with our rep and were taken to the olympic stadium, Parc Guell and La Rambla.
We also saw the Sagrada Familia (cathedral) and on my first trip to Barcelona (but not my second) we were given the opportunity to visit Nou Camp - home to Barcelona FC.
