Hostal Montsant: Hostal Montsant

This hostal is less than 5 minutes from Salou rail station, has you leave the station it is on the same side of the level crossing about 50 meters on the left .. For 25 euro i had room with comfy bed , en suite and tv. The place had a bar /restaraunt so handy for a drink in the evening

Camping Sanguli: Only a few hundred metres from the seafront

The accommodation was a holiday home provided by Keycamp which although not the cheapest was not the most expensive on site.
The accommodation included your gas , water and electrics and most essentials (cooker, fridge freezer and air conditioning) were in with the price (air con cost extra),
All your utensils were provided although the lack of an ice maker was noticeable by its absence. There were outdoor furniture ( white plastic ) and a barbecue and a table with sun Umbrella. This was an wooden decking (cost extra).there was an option of sheets pillow cases and towels (saves extra weight for those coming by air).and each plot had a car parking space (very small , just enough for a MPV).
The campsite itself is very big with the tourer and camping section close to the entrance. then
there are the holiday homes by various companies ( Keycamp, Eurocamp, Thompsons et. al.) and finally the campsites own luxury and not so luxurious holiday homes (costing is the big factor).
The site boasts three swimming pools one of which is heated, two snack bars one restaurant ( all these are close to the swimming pools)a take away which provides Pizza, Chips(french fries) & chicken plus other foods which I cant remember as I didn't try them. There is a masseuse on the campsite (booking essential) children's club (Spanish speakers) there is also an amphitheatre where shows are put on during the high season.
For those who are in their tourers or tents there are lots of toilet and washing facilities spread throughout the campsite. there is also a laundrette (mornings only) that does a service wash .
All in all a very good place for a relaxing holiday and although big is kept very clean by a very conscientious staff.

Pleasant surroundings and pleasant staff.
The campsite although seeming to ne flat is on a slight hill which means that the rain ( we had plenty at the start of our holiday this year( 2008) runs awayto the drains and so prevents flooding of the site . If the drain ges blocked then the staff get it unblocke as soon as they are informed.
The bar staff are quite linguistic although they had a bit of trouble with Swedish and Finnish but the visitors soon got what they wnted with a bit of pigeon Spanish and English.
The Reception points(they have two) are very helpful and bend over backwards to help you and it seems that no task is too great or too small for them to help with.
I would give the campsite a ***** rating

First Class Site: Sanguli Camp Site

2010 We stayed at this campsite for the 3rd time in 2010
Our accommodation was booked through Thomson's Al Fresco. Much the same as the previous year.

We went with Keycamp and stayed in one of their 2 berth caravans they sleep 7, it was nice and clean, but 7 would have been a very tight squeeze.(Keycamp no longer operate on this site).
This year was the second time with Thomsons Al Fresco. Their vans are pretty much the same as Keycamp, clean, with 2 bedrooms ! bathroom, full oven and microwave.
The site is quite large, flat at the bottom, but there is an incline up to the upper part of the site, well maintained and spotlessly clean, There are plenty of Toilet blocks with showers, washing cubicles and toilets.

The only down size for us was noise late at night, they do have patrols, but, maybe they are more relaxed than other sites.
The site does rent out it's own accommodation, chalets of various types, furnished to a high standard.
All in all, I would highly recommend this site.

The site has 3 good pool areas, all with children's pools, bars plus a lifeguards.
A nice restaurant and a take away.
You will find Wifi available through out the site.
There is a gift shop, laundry (service washes only), massage, entertainment, cinema and children's club.
They also have a small amphitheatre, and shows are put on during the high season.( April-September).
The bus stops just outside the site, which is just a few yards from the beautiful sandy beach.

The site is wheelchair friendly with ramps.

Avenida Park Aparthotel.... Salou: #####

This was a 3 star hotel, rooms very very basic, although we did go half/board we did have kitchen facitilites which were good, as our kids never ate much at breakfast or tea, so we had to buy lots of food in.... the restaurant was lovely i couldnt fault it, but my partner thought there food was very salty and didnt enjoy the food at all, there were lots of choice for dinner and plenty of puddings :)
Staff very lovey and friendly, and maid service was excellant !! they have kids clubs there, which is good for the children....but we didnt enjoy the entertainment on a night, it was on too late for ours it doesnt start till about 10.30pm, and wasnt up to much, so we went out alot....Hotel was nice, but alas we will not be going back to Salou at all !!!!!!!

Great pool big one for kids and adults, and baby/kids pool, outside was excellant, but beware, there are alot of other nationalities staying at this hotel, and all the dutch and german, ran out when they opened doors at 9am, to get all beds !!
We just went to beach if there wasnt anywhere to sit.....
They all queue up from 8.30am which i think is ridiculous....

Caspel

It's a small 3* hotel, located quite close to the center and about 200 meters from the beach.
The rooms are equipped with all the necessary stuff, meal was decent but restaurant rather small, thus every dinner there was a queue of people waiting for free seats.
Half of hotel rooms overlook the street (we got the room like that), which makes it a bit disturbing during the night when bikers rushing along.... but hey if you are young enought to party all night, than it won't be a problem to you :))))

I know this picture you...

I know this picture you wouldnt send for a postcard...i think i had only 1 film with me and i hadnt got the best camera. But hee as you all can see this is Monique infront of the hotel.

We had a great time, but it was no WOW hotel. Just a normal one for 18 year old girls who didnt had a fulltime job when they went overthere and had to pay themselves!!!

Da Vinci: Da Vinci

Da Vinci *** has a nice athmosphere and the most wonderful staff. They have the evening program by the pool for the whole family. And the food in the restaurant is good! I really enjoyed my stay there.
