Great for the price...

Despite the mixed reviews here, my partner and I spent 2 nights here on 27 and 28th January and were pleasantly surprised. I had requested an upper floor room with a seaview and breakfast and we were charged €79 per night all-in. On arrival we were greeted by a very friendly lady at reception and were given the best room ever! Top floor with a huge terrace overlooking the sea with a panoramic view of Sitges from the famous Church to the horizon and across the coast. We were also blessed with a couple of days of glorious sunshine. On the downside, the hotel IS shabby. It needs major re-decoration, however, the room itself was clean with good fresh linen and towels and clean bathroom etc and, in my opinion, a bargain for the price. On the first morning we had breakfast in the Sports Bar on the ground floor and it was a bit disappointing. Quality of the buffet not very good. However, the following day we had the breakfast delivered to our room on a huge tray overladen with meats, fruit, yogurt, pastries and coffee etc and enjoyed it on our sunny terrace. All in all, very good staff and very good value in an unbeatable location.

Hot Spot Hotel

This hotel is a low priced budget hotel right on the main drag opposite the beach in Sitges Spain, a lovely city of winding hilly streets. If you need a hotel that is in a great location with clean rooms and bathrooms, courteous staff and is incredibly cheap then this place is perfect. If you want a 4 class hotel on the beach at this price, you are delusional. For a normal person who wants to be at the center of things, this hotel is perfect.

The outside acoustics of this hotel are not good and if you are sensitive to noise. The common mode of transportation is a moped without a functioning muffler and the combination of narrow streets & alleys did not make for a quiet stay. Also, the

Hotel Subur

We got a cheap deal through Expedia but had to pay more for a room with a sea-view, the key to the room safe and parking. All the staff were very friendly and the location was excellent - seafront, close to town. The breakfast buffet was in the bar and a bit disorganised

The ancient name of Sitges was SUBUR, a roman name as they were the first in giving a name to the ibers that lived there in the past in the middle age there was a castle and an important church that still stands.
Many houses are made with doors or windows belonging to middle age time, in the 18th and early 19th century was an opportunity for the people not rich in town and they all emigrated to the island of Cuba, and stay for many years, and a lot of them made there a lot of money and decided to return to Sitges, but very rich. They built magnificent houses and palaces to show off their power, but the fact is that there are dozens and dozens of artistic houses that now mostly are private hotels or guest houses.

The A1 is one of the "Aerobuses" connecting BCN airport to Barcelona city centre. Nothing to do with Sitges, that's in the opposite direction!

To get to Sitges from BCN aiport you can take the Mon-Bus from Terminal 1 to Sitges. They stop in Sitges centre (Av. Vilanova) that should be a 5-10 min walk to your hotel (in the seafront)
