 | Tarragona Nuria Reviews | 1 - 2 of 2 | |
Hotel Nuria was just completing its final renovations when we stayed there in June. The rooms were basic and clean, and at 35 euros per person including breakfast we thought this was quite reasonable. However, it is best to check around the web, as some of our party got it for 27 euro per night.
Although it is a 15 min walk up hill from the town, it is very close to a lovely beach. Theme: HotelPrice: US$20-40 » Currency ConverterComparison: about averageDirections: Located at the bottom of the hill in Tarragona, it is a 15 minute walk up the hill to the town, or 8 euro in a taxi.

The hotel The first impression of this hotel from the outside is quite anonymous. However the building seems new or at least, recently renovated. Nice hall with modern furniture. Well equipped with lift and a drink dispenser at the entrance. There is a free parking outside the hotel, on the street, or the hotel garage. Little garden to enjoy the sun in the summer and eventually, have breakfast served. Location It is located on the Via Augusta, just outside the town. 100 mt from the beach of the Rebajada. The beach is good and large. There is a bus linking the hotel with downtown, however it is better to have the car, because I don’t know if this bus is frequent. Rooms Rooms are modern and large, but poorly equipped. Mine had a writing table with four (little) drawers and a two doors wardrobe, very few if you think to spend a week or more by the sea.
The good The best thing of the hotel is its location if you intend to go to the beach. It is also modern and clean The bad The worst thing are the bathrooms: I saw from the security map that they are all the same (at least on my floor). They have a sliding door that does not slide inside the wall but outside, as it was a wardrobe door, so it does not close completely, this means no privacy. My bathroom had no fan and a window opening on a wall (probably the inside wall of the lobby) so it difficult to change air in the bathroom. There was no hairdryer, I think that in an hotel by the beach it is necessary or it should be clearly said to reserving clients that there is no one. I also must admit that the staff is not so well organised. I reserved a half board staying but on the second day, only when we sat for dinner in the restaurant hotel (about 22 o’clock), they told us the restaurant was closed: they had no gas because of the works on the road next to the hotel. So my husband and I had to look for a restaurant. Luckily they have dinner very late in Spain, so it wasn’t a problem to find one open.
