We have just returned from Ibiza (myself, my partner and 2 children aged 8 and 11) and I'd just like to say what a fanastic hotel the Seaview is! !
The hotel is quite big but I cannot fault a single thing. The rooms are big and the whole hotel is kept spotlessly clean. At every meal there is a huge variety of food, something to suit everyone. We tried everything ! ! The staff are very friendly and the entertainment is great. Even the reps make decent singers! The hotel is situated right next to a lovely little beach and a short walk away from numerous bars and restaurants. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone ! ! The only thing I would say is take your own parasol as you need to be up very early to get one.
Great Time can't wait to go back
Myself, husband and our 2 children went to the seaview last year with Airtours. I couldn't fault the holiday. The hotel is kept very clean and the food is excellent catering for everyones needs. The hotel is situated in an ideal location, if you want to get out and about then there are plenty of bars and restaurants within and short walk away. We had such a good time that we are going back the end of June this year. The reps are excellent and the staff are friendly and helpful. Who could want for more, i would recommended highly to anyone.
Unbook if you can - turn back!
The Seaview is not a bad hotel and the staff work very hard and there are plenty of them. However if you have ever stayed in a 4* hotel before, don’t expect 4* here, because the whole Airtours thing is totally in your face all the time and noise, noise, noise from dawn until dusk. If you want ‘full on’ all day and night, then you’ll love it here. If you want to get any kind of peace and quiet, or if you read the bit in the brochure about ‘tranquil gardens’ – forget it – it’s not here. This is a noisy, busy place that never stops. The level of noise from the entertainment, particularly at night was deafening. As we visited early June with no air-conditioning, you had to leave the balcony open at night for kids to get some sleep, but since the booming noise went on until 12pm outdoors, you couldn’t get away from it if you wanted to. It’s also full of Airtours charging through the nose for everything and firing the kids up to buy it all at every opportunity. If you are coming to stay here, a couple of tips that might be of use:
The best rooms by far are the 1 bed apartments. They are all located on the top (of three) floors and mostly have the best view. They are a very good size and have huge balconies. Don’t worry if you want to go half board, get the apartment for space and you can book the half board while at the hotel in blocks of 3, 5 or 10 days. There is no saving on doing it before you go, and this way you get to see if you like the food and being in the hotel all the time, or whether you want to try local places also.
Another big advantage is that you have a fridge. There are no fridges in the Half Board rooms which are not particularly big, have small balconies and you really miss being able to at least have a cold bottle of water to hand – whatever about beers and wine. Since a small bottle of water is €1.80 in the hotel, it is well worth being able to stock up on it and have in your fridge rather than have to pay through the nose for it.
Studios are a joke! They are the exact same rooms as the half board rooms, but in HB rooms there is a closet where you can put your cases. In the Studios, this is the kitchen! You open the closet to get the small cooker, microwave , fridge, sink , kettle and cooker crammed into a wardrobe!! Its complete madness and pretty unsafe as you unplug the kettle and try not to get the plug in the sink while you grapple with the cooker. At least is does have a fridge however, so there is that. By far the best think to do is book the apartment.
The pool is nice and pretty big, but not for 1300+ people. We stayed at the hotel in early June and there were 1300 in it at the time. Everybody had kids, and the pool and pool area was simply not big enough for the body of people. In the pool there just wasn’t room to swim and around the pool it was so jammed that there was no space between one sunbed and the other. That’s assuming you could get a bed in the first place, since they were getting reserved from the time people came home from the night time entertainment at 2am in the morning.
Tip here: the beech is right beside the hotel and very nice. You can hire beds and brollies on the beech, though it will cost you €5 for each, so a family of 4 is spending €20 a day you didn’t bargain on. The hotel pool really should accommodate everybody, but it doesn’t. The other great tip is to go next door. At reception there is a green gate leading into the sister hotel the Aura. Pool here is lovely and there is an abundance of sunbeds and brollies at any time of the day. It is much less crowded here and the pools are great. We braved the Seaview for the first couple of days and then spend most the holiday in the Aura. This hotel really is 4* and a much nicer place to be by day than the Seaview.
For my money, the Aura is a much better hotel. We spent the day here and came into the Seaview for dinner. Had we not been HB we would have only come back to sleep – or at least best we could do considering the noise. The layout of the hotel is such that no block is away from the open entertainment. So if you’re not up for it, bring your earplugs. A few valium wouldn’t go astray either.
Best place ive stayed at!!!!
This is the best place ive stayed in. There is lots of entertainment from 10.30 in the morning to midnight!! The fun never stops. I want to go back next year!! Food in half board was really good, lots to choose from every night, and breakfast was fantastic!! The airtours holiday reps do a great job always keeping us entertained!! not only that they are all gorgeous, especially Andy!!
Definately advise everyone to go here!! its a really nice place!!
Sea view impressed us as soon as we walked into the marbled, cool foyer. The whole hotel was spotless with attentive, confident staff. I cannot believe nobody has mentioned the massive two - metre - deep pool... quiet in the morning and busy in the afternon. A separate kids area kept my two amused for hours every day. The apartment was clean with fantastic air-conditioning (thank god). I was less impressed with the rip-off ice-creams some of which were nearly three euros! That soon mounts up if you have two hot kids! The pool table was also expensive (2 e's) with cues that had few tips on them and no chalk!! Some of the imported entertainment was fantastic (especially the hypnotist) but unfortunately the airtours reps had their own karaoke sessions a lot of the evenings which was losely termed as "entertainment". The sea trip to "dive for champagne" was ruined by a rep not turning up thus delaying us for 40 minutes and another constantly shouting through a PA system on board whilst evetyone (except two "lads") was trying to look at the fantastic scenery. The meal afterwards was ok ... (we were herded like cattle into the eaterie though) ... again the entertainment seemed a bit misplaced and would have been better aimed at 18-30 club.We left after ten minutes. Not near four star quality but more a profit making vehicle for the tour operators.
Despite the negatives we really did love the hotel. Definitely considering going back. By the way chaps... you can get ice cold 500ml san miguel for 60 cents accross the beach at the spar, and a litre of wine for 95 cents elsewhere... keep some in your fridge as its 290 cents a pint in the hotel!!!!!! Girls, keep off the nips, you'll not handle the measures, xxxx
Best hotel we've ever stayed in!!
My husband and I and our two children stayed at the Seaview in June and we had a wonderful time. The hotel came highly recommended and we weren't disappointed, the apartment we stayed in was absolutely spotless and the balcony was huge with a beautiful view of the sea.
The food was gorgeous and there was plenty of it too, you could eat as much as you wanted, there was plenty of choice as well. The staff were very helpful and polite, they would do anything for you, nothing was too much trouble. The reps were amazing, they were great with the kids and they really did their best to make sure there was something for everyone, no disappointment there. In fact there isnt anything i can fault about the hotel, its a beautiful, clean hotel, and we have booked to go back next year but we are going in july this time because we had a couple of days of rain when we were there at the beginning of june.
i thought the entertainment was fantastic. Agood comedy performance indeed along with the kareoke. The name Michael Clarke always stics in my mind and don't be surprised if it sticks in yours too for im sure we'll be seeing it on magazine covers and cd's in the future.
He took such a personal interest in making sure every single guest got their best value for money and often asked what kind of entertainment they would like to have. Bravo to him and all of airtours.
absolutely loved it
I thought this hotel was the best Ive ever stayed in and I have travelled quite a bit. It had everything you could ever wish for. I would got here every year
