It has been built out of the remains of a former monastry, although apart from the the courtyard area it would be difficult to recognise this fact. The rooms are well appointed and very modern in appearance without being cutting edge. I wouldn't stay here unless you like the colours beige and brown.
The hotel staff in their designer black outfits were helpful, and quite accomodating when I informed them how cheaply I could get one of their rooms on priceline. We didn't take breakfast in the hotel itself, as we preferred to eat in the nearby ramblas area.
The rooftop pool is very impressive. It has a number of whirlpooly type jets and showers, togther with a spa and decking area for relaxation. Chilling out in the pool whilst looking out over the forest of television ariels and chuch bells to the Santa Barbara
castle beyond was blissful.
