Considering the Daniya Hotel & Spa Denia in Alicante?

Palm trees by sourbugger
The city has fairly recently added to it's collection of Green spaces by developing the 'El Palmeria' on the Murcia road as you leave Alicante. The rather elongated park has hundreds of shady palm trees, and is an excellent place for a wander and to relax. If you are really into palm trees, then a side-trip to Elche (or Elx) would be a better bet. The whole industry of the town is based around the cultivation of the palm. With wonderful historical buildings, and colourful fiestas (the celebrations, not the crappy cars made by Ford motors), it is not surprising that it has been lauded as a UNESCO world heritage site.
