The Latbus bus (line 73) links Murcia-San Javier airport with the Estación de Autobuses de Murcia, in 45 mins and at a cost of €7 (from the airport: at 17.45, 19.15 and 22.45 every day.
Alsa runs a bus every couple of hours from Murcia to Alicante, which takes about an hour (1h45 minutes to Alicante Airport), see http://www.gocostablanca.com/cities/alicante/guide-to-alicante-transportation and http://www2.alsa.es/portal/index.asp?lang=en.

The most popular festival in Alicante 'attracts' many tourists in June: the festival starts before (21th...) but the main the is the 24. I'm speaking about 'Les Fogueres' a very interesting 'fiestas'. In these dates the city is plenty of paper-wooden sculptures with satiric themes to a large extent. The night of the 24th june, they all are burnt (it's absolutely safe, because the firemen care about the security, despite some of the 'Fogueres' reaches the 23 meters!). Music, nice people and warm temperatures.

There is a busy airport in L'Altet that receives mainly charter flights from UK, Germany and other Northern European countries. There are also regular flights to the main Spanish cities. There are good train and bus connexions to the main cities in Spain.
Alicante has also an active port with the only ferry line between Spain and Algeria (Oran).
Playa del Postiguet

Beaches are always a pleasant area not only to do sunbathings. This is a vast beach full of fine white sand. Has an array of services and facilities. One of the perfect area of Alicante to enjoy views around the place. Has a longitude of 900 meters and 50 wide. Right in the city centre, and boasting a palm-lined promenade. Situated next to the leisure district at the city's marine complex and is very neat and clean.
La Albufereta Beach

This beach is to the northwest of the city, between the Serra Grossa mountains and Tossal de Manises in an area of important archaeological sites. In fact, it is here that the city originated.
It is a small beach of fine, golden sands amid the residential development of the same name. This is one of the most popular holiday spot amongst local people of Alicante.
ALICANTE'S TRAIN STATION

The Alicante train station,it is located just in front of El Corte Ingles Department Store.It is called Estacion Renfe de Alicante.In Spain the national trains enterprise is called RENFE,so all stations in every city has the same name first.The building is not very interesting,but you can take a look inside.Alicante is very well connected to other cities in Spain by train,and there are a lot of them to choose from,it depends of the speed,even right now they are very fast!.
