There are many shops in Grand Alacant, there must be also bakeries or pastisseries. In case there aren't, there is a big supermarket nearby, Mercadona, and they always have cakes and pastries.

When you visit my city, you can go to the capital, and largest city of the province,ALICANTE,only 40 KM from Benidorm. Here you can find a lot of Hotels,Restaurants,Shopping Centres, and very good Beaches too!. This is a night view of ALICANTE'S HARBOUR.

The streets of Alicante.

by danielle72 about The streets of Alicante.

First of all, don't expect anything to start before 1am. The thing is, we were there during Alicante's summer festival, so all the streets were done up with lights and there were parties going on everywhere. But sometime around 1am the streets turn into this massive night club and every block is playing its own music and selling its own booze. Kids everywhere, no bouncers, very loud music... this goes on all night but i'm not sure until when because we had had it by 4:30. Also, the drinks are NOT cheap. BYOB people! anything really, but the girls were all decked out. tube tobs, halters, tight pants, and 4 inch sandals seemed to be the majority's favourites. and they all wore those bras with the clear straps. well i guess they can do whatever they want, they're all mini-supermodels. and the guys, oh my god, they can dance... and they can dance well!

Alicante City Hall

by Toshioohsako

Its a lovely and lively place. One can enjoy the small fountains which change its color and height. People can touch the water, children are playful looking into the water and playing with it. Dogs are playing with water, occasionally barking at the fountains which change its shape and color unexpectedly. Its a place for civil wedding, too.

The San Nicolás Co-Cathedral

by elssbkeppe

This former mosque was transformed into a Christian church by King Alfonso X, The Wise. It is in the Renaissance style of renowned Spanish architect Juan de Herrera and stands in the city centre.

Its floor plan is in the shape of a Latin cross, with an interior that boasts notable features such as the 15th century cloister with two baroque doors, the altar and the blue cupula 45 metres high. Below the cupola is the Capilla de la Comunión communion chapel, which is considered to be one of the most beautiful examples of Spanish baroque.

The interior has recently been restored to mark the celebration of the La Luz de las Imágenes exhibition (The Light of Images) in Alicante, which aims to recuperate and promote the Region of Valencia's artistic heritage.
