Staying for a night
I spent a night in this hotel in April of 2006 on the way from Barcelona to Granada.
It is situated in a quiet street close to the commercial area of the city and Alfonso X el Sabio avenue (market street) and Los Luceros Circus.
You can watch my 3 min 18 sec Video Along Alicante by bus out of my Youtube channel or here on VT.
Unique Quality: Full air-conditioning. 106 rooms with private bath, telephone, color TV, writing desk and private safe.
All kind of facilities and informations are available at the hotel such as tickets for visiting the following places:
• Terra mítica, thematic park in Benidorm
• Archeological provincial museum (Marq)
• Fine-arts museum (Mubag)
• Nautical activities at the Alicante Nautical Port
• Sightseeing, historical area, old town, cathedral, city hall, St. Mary’s church
• Tryps to Tabarca island
Pretty Good Location, Though
I guess nobody gets the best room if s/he plans to stay just one night and I guess that's why, I got a room that was just okay: it was clean, it was equipped with full bathroom, TV, telephone and air conditioning. Of course that there's also an elevator, a restaurant and a bar inside the hotel. Treatment was nice and they accept credit cards.
Unique Quality: The hotel is located downtown, in an excellent area if you want to have a good rest. It takes about ten minutes to go from there to the train station, to the beach, or to the Barrio (one of the party area). They have a parking garage too, but I don't know how much they charge for a night.
Directions: Ask directions for the Plaza de Los Luceros. Take the opposite way to the train station (the way towads the Mercado Central) and take the first street on your left. That on should be calle Segura.
