Guadalest
Drive for about half an hour inland and you forget the bright lights of benidorm, travel a bit further and you reach this beautiful little village Guadalest. Although it is geared up for the coach trips and other tourists it still retains a real spanish feel. Lots of small souvenir shops, little cafes and museums all surrounding a castle that is built into the mountain. The view over the small lake was stunning. My best memory will be walking through the cobbled street of guadalest. I previousy visited Benidorm 33 years ago, and actually found it quieter now than I did then, it is not full of lager louts and the entertainment too be found is second to none. I just loved the comedians have not laughed so much in years.
