How much is it for a beer and a meal in Benidorm?

by HarrogateDave

Going to Benidorm in May and was wondering how much it cost for a beer and a meal around the resort. I have heard it's cheap but how cheap is cheap. Can anyone recomend any good bars to go to? Cheers

Hi, You can find local lager for as little as €1 if you look around. Where are you staying then I might be able to point you in the right direction. The Village pub on Calle Lepanto just up from the square is a good place to go, during the day their beer is €1 and the food is very reasonable too. Meals around the resort obviously vary but look out for 2 course meals for around £5.

Hi mate
Well how long is string? yesterday we paid 1 euro for a pint of lager in the new town and by 3am in a club in the old town we were charged 8 euros for a bud.
As for bars it depends on what you are into fella there are hundreds to choose from, most have drinks promotions. Its an individual thing a great bar for one person is a hell hole for another. Personally I dont like the English bars full of yobish louts and tend to go to the more spanish bars in the old town. It wouldnt be fair to reccomend anywhere specific. As for food....isidros in the new town is a ductch buffet as much as you can eat for 12 euros but decent food.

5 Days in Benidorm

by dazzer42

"First Day in costa Blanca- a town called Calpe"

When I booked my Costa Blanca holiday, I found myself in a small town called Calpe which is roughly 45km away from the main and lively town of Benidorm.
This place is truely tranquel in the sense that it is less congested. Some might say that its just boring, but I guess that depends on what your after.

Me personally being within the 25-35 age mark would say that is not really my scene.

Anyway, Calpe is overall a nice and friendly little town with a nice quiet beach and a few little restaurants overlooking the beach.
Generally the weather is hot in Costa Blanca around Apr onwards with temperatures ranging between 25C to 34C.

"Viva Benidorm!!"

After sampling with tranquility of Calpe, I decided to liven things up and headed off to Benidorm. This is Costa Blanca's hot spot, full of bars, clubs, varied restaurants to cater all tastes and not to mention one of the busiest beaches i've been to.

Even though the beach is busy, it has a nice atmosphere about it.
Alot of people have pre-conceptions about Benidorm, saying that it is a lad/ladies holiday, but that really isn't the case.
It's catered for all, couples both young and old.
Also ideal for family holidays too.

If your from the UK, then u will love it. You will never get home sick put it that way.
Benidorm is a popular resort for british holiday makers and so it has it's own 'little Britain' area. This place is full English pubs/restuarants. I recommend a place called 'LOLLY'S'.
This place is owned by a couple from Manchester, ask for Phil.
He does a mean fry up for only 3 Euros!!

Overall, you can't go wrong with Benidorm. An abundance of shops, clubs/bars and general entertainment for everyone.
I recommend a Hotel Brisa 3* which is reasonable and is situated right on the beachfront.
