Hi all
I am headed to Alicante/Benidorm for 3 nights in the first weekend of December. I plan to stay one night in Alicante and two nights in Benidorm but cant decide which is better to stay in. Can someone please help with the following 2 questions?
1) Is it busy in Benidorm during this time or pretty empty and deserted?
2) For nightlife, shopping and general things to do am I better of staying in Alicante or Benidorm? I do want to see both!
I guess Benidorm is never 'deserted' but on these dates you will find mainly sun-and-cheap-booze-seeking Brits and Spanish pensioners... not the most exciting plan for me but each at their own. Alicante is a real town, a very nice one. Benidorm is an awful jungle of concrete by the sea at any time... so I would stay most (if not all) of my time in Alicante.

well Benidorm is full of " saga -louts as isa has already said
er thats the reps term for our sun seeking brit "old guys n gals" -- my mum loves the term LOL ( and she is one - although they are sunning it up in Majorca just now - but heading toi Beni nearer christmas
altea may be a tad nicer - although more expensive than benidorm itself

Hi, i was one of these people who thought i would hate benidorm,i loved the greek islands,turkey,india,bulgaria(20years ago)one hognamay,a scottish tradition,i was speaking to an old english lady in tunisia,she said i wish id gone to benidorm,i was quite surprised and started to ask her questions,she said dont knock it untill youve been,there is something for everybody in benidorm.guess what?next hogmanay benidorm,millenium, best holiday of my life and so cheap,ive been there 35 times since,sometimes staying a month,get the local paper get on the buses and trains,its out there go find it.i love the place,and every one so friendly.
This is MIRADOR DEL CASTILLO,AND THE GEYSER,also konwn as the Balcony to the Mediterranean.With no doubt,this is the best viewpoint in Benidorm!.From here you'll see some beautiful views of both beaches and also the Mediterranean Sea and Benidorm's Island.Is one of most visited places in Benidorm.
once in Benidorm you should visit the island. 10 minute boat ride from the port and you can have the splendid views of Benidorm skyline. a marine reservation on the waters around, that you can visit beneath and take a look at the fishes and underwater life. note: somehow disapointing the fishes thou'... if you already did some good snorkling well, just stick to that memorie and avoid the visit they organize to visit the life underwater. seing Benidorm skyline should be suficient.
