The Diplomatic is certainly one of the cheaper 4-stars in Benidorm and the location is great, just next to the city center, 10 mins walk to the Levante Beach and 5 mins to the ALSA bus station (for Alicante and Alicante Airport).
That's about where the advantages end: Modest (but clean) rooms, small open air pool, fitness room at Euro 6.00/h, breakfast buffet is fine, dinner buffet lacks imagination (a sad place for seafood or cheese lovers), entertainment very modest in comparoson with other 4-stars, staff very formal or even unfriendly at times. All in comparison with other 4.stars nearby.
