The El faro conists of bedrooms and apartments, we had a one bedroom apartment with a sofa bed in the living area. Kitchen was very basic, bathroom had bath and shower. The balcony was not that big but adequate. It was lovely to go to bed at night with the doors open and drift off to sleep listening to the sea lapping on the shore. The staff at the apartments were ok but have had better service elsewhere. I would still recommend this hotel as it is in a good location with bars and restaurants all within a few minutes walk and the beach was only 100 metres away.
For anybody who likes to work out on holiday (i personally go for a rest) there was a very large gym in the basement with all modern equipment and air conditioning. The pool was a good size with a feature waterfall. Some of the sunbeds needed renewing but there was ample space to sunbathe on the grass and shady areas if you tend to go a bit red.Entertainment was provided at the hotel a couple of nights a week. Karaoke and a line dancing night I think. On the lower ground floor there was a games room which had arcade games a pool table, table football etc.
