Receptionist at check in was very sour faced and basicly just issed a door card. We later found out you can top your card with money to get 15% of your drinks bill and any used cash is refunded when you check out , also you can top it up at any time. We had a room in the lower block, the bedroom and bathroom was a good size with a nice balcony. Food was OK, you could always find something that you liked, soup, salad bar, main course of fish, poultry and red meat with veg and a pasta with a sauce, also fresh hot grill with fish or meat plus chips or other potato dish, dessert was fresh fruit plus cake and jelly type puds which were a bit boring. The entertainment was OK, one bar had a group for dancing plus sometimes a professional act at 10.30ish. The other bar had mixed entertainment, resident band or singer then 10.30ish a professional act, one night an English singer, one night a dance duo etc. The bus from the hotel was 1Euro to Benidorm but if you stayed later then 10pm you need a taxi to get back which cost between 7 to 9 Euros, I understand in the high season the bus runs all night. During the day it was a nice stroll along the beach or seafront to Poniente or Levante, also the nearby Cala Finestrat beach was nice. We enjoyed our stay but would not return to this hotel as it was too far out from the main shops and entertainment of Benidorm and although very modern seemed a bit soulless.
The hotel is the tallest building in Europe. There are 23 lifts, 2 which are panoramic but were not in use during our visit because of high winds. You can take the lift to the 43 floor and pay 1 Euro (5 for nonresidents) to go out on to the panoramic roof top for a view stretching right across Benidorm.
