I am currently staying at the Ambassador Playa, it is alovely hotel with big rooms and 2 big pools one is under cover which is nice if you are sun burnt and need to cool down. The rooms are spotless and the health spa is very good value for money. There are 2 big bars and they have good entertainment for all ages. The only thing that p----- me off was the rude bar man who accused me and my sister of lying !!!!
on the whole this hotel is brilliant and i would reccomend it to anyone:) I am enjoying my stay here i will be coming back!
A Great Hotel let down by it`s food

After our second stay in the Ambassador Playa, we will Not be returning. stayed there New Year 2003 for a week and could not praise it enough but this visit was spoilt by the unimaginitive food on offer. Hot Pudding 11 of the 14 Nights Bread and Butter Pudding (and not a vary good one) Fried pieces of Chicken Breast on one occassion was the Total sum of Chicken throughout the Hol.(unless you liked the Chicken Nuggets on the Kids Counter) The Food Quality was sometimes there but it was either overcooked, only warm or simply unattractive to eat. Cleanliness superb, Excellent Staff, but food let it down.
Had a great time all round

We have just returned from the Ambassador Playa 2 and thoroughly enjoyed our stay there. The hotel and room were very clean, there was a good choice of food on the menu every day and we all thought the food was of a high standard.
The staff were very pleasant.
The only fault we found was that the 2 lifts only took 4 people (there was another which took 6), but this did not bother us.
We would definitley go back there again and would recommend this hotel to our friends.

i am just back two days ago from staying at the Ambassador Playa hotel in benidorm it was a great hotel and in the center of everything. The food in the buffet was nice and there was always something for everyone to have. The two swiming pools were ideal and the entertainment was great. The entertainment during the day ranged from killer pool, killer darts, scuba diving in the pool, mini golf to swimming pool games etc. the entertainment at night as good and the waiter service was great to. it was in the center of all the clubs and pubs there was alot to do and it was a two minute walk to the beach. 5 minutes from the water park and animal park (aqualandia and mundomar) and about five minutes in the taxi to the theme park and the other nature park. (terra mitica and terra natura) there was a park next to the swimming pool for the kids and it also had a cinema room with a daily showing of two different english films. it also had a gym sauna plunge pool whirlpol etc. im 16 and i tought it was brilliant i will go back to this hotel next time i go to benidorm as i know i wont be let down. i would rate this 4 star and would recommend it to people of all ages. it also has line dancing and bingo and other sorts of dancing and it is the only hotel which does this.

I have just returned from The Ambassador Playa from spending a long week-end out there with 11 others girls on a 40th Birthday celebration!
Arrived on the Friday, straight to the pool as our rooms weren't ready but just more sun/bacardi time!
Hotel reception staff weren't 100%, but the food hall's staff made up for that, they were all fantastic and very chatty.
No problems with the cleaners.
We all had pool facing balconys so the views were fantastic.
The beach is only a few mins away, we spent the day there on Sunday, swimming amongst the fish! Very clean & sandy beach!
Considering taking the husband & children next year altho I don't think that it will have quite the same effect but we will see.
The Elvis look alike that we saw on the 3 nites in a local bar was from my home town of Ipswich, Suffolk and my mother went to school with him!
Cannot fault the hotel at all, very clean & friendly.
Cannot attach photos as would no longer be married!
Brilliant position and food was great!

Stayed April 2nd 2005 with a friend and four teenagers. Plenty to do, beach just a short walk. close to bars and shops, indoor swimming pool very clean and spa which you have to pay five euros for was well worth it steam room jacuzzi etc excellent. Food was very good catered for everyone. Rooms were spotless. Thoroughly enjoyed this hotel and will definately go back. Evening entertainment to suit all ages. Very positive and would recommend.
return visit was disappointing

My husband and I had previously stayed at this hotel on four/five occassions and found it to be of high standard but not on this occassion. It has been three years since we stayed here and in that time the standard has dropped in comparson to other hotels in the area. The reception staff were rude and disinterested in any problems we encountered. The dining room staff were nice and friendly but the food was cold and had to be heated in the mocrowave though to be fair on the second week it did improve. The standard of cleanliness was not what it should be as balcony and rooms were not mopped over during the fortnight we where there and considering we had a building site at each end the dust and dirt was everywhere. The entertainment although very good was limited in that if you didn't do bingo, line dancing, sequence or ballroom dancing you could not join. All in all we would consider other hotels before we would return to this one.
Great Hotel

We have just returned from a week at the Ambassador and have had a great time. The Hotel was clean and the staff friendly although we would say that the Reception Staff could have been a little more helpful. The air con did not work in our room but was sorted in a couple of days. It did not work as well as the one in our sons' room but was better than nothing.
We paid extra for a pool view as we were told that this would be the quieter option as there is a busy road at the back.
The food was excellent and there was a lot of choice. The salads were brilliant.
The fitness centre is excellent and only costs 7 euros for two hours.
The Hotel is central to all the entertainments.
We prefer a quiter holiday but took our teenage sons so it was ideal for them. We did enjoy it but would definitely not go in July, August.
Lots of bars had pints for 1 Euro and coffee and brandys for 1.5 euros.
Internet cafes were reasonable at 1 euro for 20 mins.
Certainly the cheapest Spanish place we have ever stayed in. We went on one of the Free 'Blanket Trips' to Guadalest which saved a lot of money and there was no hassle at all. It was a great day out.
All in all we were glad we chose the Ambassador for our visit.
LOVELY HOTEL

The hotel was lovely the rooms were clean with air con and they had their own security guard 24 hrs which is quite good. The food was awful though I wouldn't advise anyone to go half or full board or all inclusive come to that!! the pool wasn't all that either but I would rate it.

Hi, booked a couple of rooms at ambassador playa and also just found out about building works. From what i can gather the works are at the rear of ambassador 11 so if you have a pool view you wont have a problem.i dont so i am in the process of trying to change my rooms to the front of the hotel so hopefully it will be all good.Have fun ......!
