Very Disappointed In The Levante Club Hotel

by A TripAdvisor Member

BENIDORM: THE LEVENTE CLUB HOTEL:VERY DISAPPOINTED
Myself and my husband and our 3 children stayed at the THE LEVANTE CLUB HOTEL FROM 20/5/06 TO 27/5/06 first impressions of the hotel was very modern and very clean, we found the staff very helpful and friendly more so the dining room they were GREAT with the children but we found elsewhere in the hotel they DID NOT have much time for children, not much for the children to do , the games room machines were not working or just not on . The pool very clean but NO LIFEGUARD there was supposed to be one their at all times I dont think we will be back at this hotel I just wish all of the staff was as friendly as the dining room staff was 10 out of 10 for them the rest of the staff could learn to do better with children definetly. COME ON LEVANTE CLUB YOU COULD DO BETTER !!!!!!

Fabulous

by A TripAdvisor Member

We stayed at the Hotel Levante Club, half-board, for a week in September 2005. On arrival from the airport, the room was not ready, but the bell-desk held our luggage for us, and we had a couple of drinks directly across the road (nice bagguettes for lunch!).

The room was soon ready, and was on the 12th floor. Fantastic views from the balcony. The room was very clean and comfortable, although the air-con was not terrific nor effective - it was still quite hot in September. We had a problem with the basin, which was not draining properly, but on reporting this, it was immediately fixed.

The restaurant was clean, with great views, and the food was of a good standard, but 'much of a muchness' from day to day, even though the theme for the menu changed daily. The restaurant never seemed busy, but we were slightly out of high season.

The staff were all very friendly, particularly those in the restaurant.

The pool area was lovely, but the pool was not heated, so it was freezing. It was about a 15 minute walk down to the beach, and the promenade was beautiful. The walk into the Old Town is well worth it.

This was our 3rd visit to Benidorm, and our most enjoyable.

It was fab

Hi,

My name is Neil Barooah from and I went to this hotel with my father, mother,Grandpa and my sisters on 13 June for a week. The hotel was gr8. The rooms were very clean. There was a very good view from the balcony. There was a sattelite t.v, 2 big and comfy beds, Bathroom was very clean, nice and big but it was a bit dissapointing bcause there was no lock and there was glass wall and door and although you could not see thru the glass but u could see the outlines. The food was nice. The hotel was also nice bcause u could make reservations for some places in the hotel and it was good bcause u can get cheap tickets. We made reservations for Terra Mitica and we got it in 15 euros for child and senior and adults for 23 euros and if u do it in the gate it was 25 for child and senior and adult for 33 euros and u get it for some other places also. But the receptionist doesn't have the slightest idea about anything and they don't even know where is the exchange or even about the 100 mts away shops or it is closed in sunday or not but they are very friendly and nice.Beach is 10 mins walk and there were many shops, pubs, supermarkets, restaurants etc. on the way to the beach and there is a big 24 hours Pharmacy 50 mtrs from the beach. The things in the shops and restaurants were very cheap. The spa was good but it was full for 3 days. The squash court was good and the swimming pool was beautiful but the water was a bit cold but it doesn't really matter bcause we were a bit out of season and there were many seabeds and a bar near the pool. The games room was good. There are 2 bars in the hotel. In Benidorm there are a lot of good markets. Benidorm is a fantastic place and our choice of hotel was fabulous. And I fully encourage u to go to Benidorm for a holiday surely stay in Levante Club Hotel. And I gaurantee u will have a gr8
time and it will be one of your best holidays and products of Benidorm is one the cheapest
I have seen in whole of Europe.

Bye

Love the Levante hotel

We have just returned from 2 weeks here, for the third Easter running. This is a superb hotel with lovely friendly staff in both the foyer and restaurant. It was brand new 3 years ago and it has been maintained to a very high standard. It is kept immaculately clean and attracts a nice clientele. There is a great variety of food on offer and the restaurant is very relaxed and tastefully designed with some beautiful views. We love it here and will definately continue to return here in future years.

Great

by A TripAdvisor Member

Loved it!! The views are excellenet and what more can i say hey ?? the staff there ae always helpful!! The only thing i would critisize would be the choice for fussy eaters like myself if you like different varieties of fish (pescado) then you`ll be fine ! But the food left a little bit to be desired for me personally!

One thing i would recommend would be the "luxor spa" WOW , there heated pools are fabulous ....

And if your a livley group then "the british square" is right down your street, It is a good 15 minites walk down there but worth it!! and one thing i`d recommend taxis arnt expensive and dont ask native spanish people where to go, because the chance is they wont know where it is!! ; Bahamas, Beachcombers and Loch ness are Great.

And whilst your in Benidorm, you have got to see the talk of the costa blancas own "Sticky vicky" although very tastfully done i wouldnt recomend younger children going to watch one of her shows!

You cant ask for better holiday reps out there either !! wicked laugh!!

*Fantastic Time*

by A TripAdvisor Member

Went to Benidorm with a best mate and my girlfriend, we checked out the pictures on the website before we went and so the hotel had a lot to live up to if it was anything like the fantastic place that was pictured.... and it was!!
Staff were very helpful and the rooms always clean! location wasnt bad... a good 15 mins walk to the night life if thats what your after.
The holiday reps were excellent!! The trips were varied and id recommend the mountain bike ride, superb views and generally a good laugh!
If your after a peacful holiday then its great, if your like me and want a hoilday full of drinks, sun and a bit of a dance then its also fab. By the way go and see 'sticky Viki' definately worth the look, however, youngens i dont think its suitable, just a word of warning!
Have a good holiday!! Im sure you will.

Great hotel!

by A TripAdvisor Member

We went as a group of 5 people aged 18. this was a peacefull hotel and is perfect for older families, couples. there wasn't many other young people at this hotel so we felt a little out of place. most people were friendly, most of the staff were friendly. it is a perfect location as it is about a 15 minute walk from the beach and bars/ clubs.
we recommend going to the square for good nightlife, the clubs didn't get busy till about 1 in the morning. we would have prefered it if it was more busy so next time we would go more in season.
The food was very good, good selection and plenty for everyone. everything was clean and modern which we liked. The hotel was really big and there was always something to do there. The spa was good although you have to pay a bit extra for this, though we thought it was worth it.
The only downside to this hotel that the pool was absoulty freezing cold. other than that this hotel was one of the best hotels in benidorm as the others looked a lil bit shabby.
The rooms were very good and spacious and we got a few complimentry soaps and combs and a shower cap etc. towels were changed everyday, and rooms were tidyed to a high standard.
The market was worth going to as there were a few bargins but you have to be careful of pick pockets and the perfume stores as they sell brands with cheap stuff inside. its false perfume but they have the real testers to trick you.
we would definetly recomend this hotel!!!!

Great hotel

by TripAdvisor Member lewis3188

A little late in writing...
I stayed here for xmas time for a week on a full-board basis. It was spectacular. I t is a ultra-modern hotel, spotlessly clean and the food was great...well, better than that in my opinion.
The hotel is based at the end of the new part of benidorm ( i think), and its about a 10min walk from the beach. There is a gay disco bar directly opposite the hotel.

Im sure you wil have a great time here

gr8! lvd it!

We got off to a bad start having to wait two and a half hours for our room to be ready (we arrived at about midday) Not really a great problem at first,as I am not opposed to sitting in a bar for a couple of hours!!,but when a Spanish wedding party arrived it was a bit embarrasing, sitting there with our suitcases by the table (it was too hot to sit outside).

The wait was, however, well worth it,the rooms are very spacious and very very clean,
with an excellent balcony overlooking the pool area.
We were on the 8th floor (of 19) so quite high up,but I'm glad we had no children with us as the balcony would have been a constant worry.(but having said that, most Benidorm hotels are high rise)

The hotel is a good 15 minute walk to the main hub,but there are 3 or 4 good bars opposite and a couple of good restaurants (Chinese and Italian) Even though we stayed half board we still ventured out for evening meals as the hotel food was not always to our taste.
Please note: check out both sides of the restaurant in the hotel,as they have a different choice at both buffets (we only discovered this on the second week).

Overall we were very happy with the Hotel and the staff were very helpful and cheery!!
Safety dep boxes and fridges are charged at 2 euros each a day which I thought was a bit cheeky, and there are no tea facilities so advisable to take a travel kettle!

TOP TIP : purchase your water and ice lollies for the kids at the supermarket 50mtrs down road you will save a fortune!! (there is also a 24hr minimarket 50mtrs up the road)
Check out the busses, they are very cheap (mostly 1 euro for anywhere) the number 12 stops close to hotel on both sides and will take you into town,or to Albir and Altea (highly recommended).

Hi to everyone we made freinds with and hope to see you all again soon

good family bars

by 7monkey

Hi Everyone im going to benidorm on25/07/06 with two kids aged 14and 15 can anyone recommend any really good family bars,as some ive seen on internet look a little tacky. Also is there any nice places for lunch apart from greasy spoon type cafes.Im staying at the levante club hotel and have heard their is some nice bars directly opposite, any info would be much appreciated.

RE: good family bars

by lynnt8253

Hello, all the eating places in that area are very good....you could try The Yorkshire Pride at that end of Benidorm, it is excellent(it was.....chefs and cooks change from year to year)another one to try is the Magic Roundabout in Calle Ibiza...very nice, slightly dearer but well worth it..famous for spare ribs!!....across from that is the famous Hogwarts Bistro, all the trimming there...lovely....A place I go to very often is the Blackpool and Wigan Piers...just down from the star and garter...not very big...but it is delicious..plenty on the plate and at a reasonable price..Yorkshire pudding dinner every day,,as well as other delights, and home made sweets and puddings.
You cant go wrong in Benidorm...and in the old town, up the old streets there are small eating places, but they put on a fab meal.....looks from the outside can be deceptive !!! Enjoy!!

hello
first of all very good choice of hotel have stayed there 3 times, the bars opposite r ok ,beers friends for drinks, the corner bar for food ,there is also a irish bar which i never went in so cant comment,as for muggers and pickpockets ive never witnessed it myself, the reps at first choice will tell you all the ppl to avoid, like the potato man and the monkey man, just keep your wits about you and dont drop your guard you will be ok ,i feel safer in benidorm than i do in my own town drinking ,if you need 2 exchange money go to shielas in the indoor market, try charles bar in the main square 2for1 every night,if you turn right after leaving the hotel cross over walk past the corner bar as you walk down the road have a walk up some of the back streets they have some good bars upthere to ,triangle bar is good HAVE A GUD HOLIDAY TELL ME HOW YOU GOT ON IM GOING IN SEPTEMBER CANT WAIT ,BYE

Myself and my family have stayed in the Levante Club hotel several times. It is a fantastic hotel and offers some really good entertainment.
There is a very friendly bar across the road called freinds bar but has no entertainmnet.
You can go around the corner from yourselves next to the Hotel Las Ocas and the Pelicanos and find entertainment bars like Morgans Tavern and Talk of the coast nearly all the bars around have some brilliant entertainment.

As for muggers and pickpockets I have been going to Benidorm for 26 years since I was 15 years old and haven't had any problems. It's like anywhere you go only carry the mount of money that you need for your night out and leave the rest in your room safe.

But enjoy Benidorm cos it really is a fabulous place, gorgeous white beaches.
